Thanks Shane. Keep ‘em coming. My ‘06 is fifteen years old. The older she gets the more I like to turn the screws myself. There’s something organic about it.
Outstanding sir! Thanks for the video. Mine happened to be the right turn signal stem that was loose. I knew basically what I had to do, but watching you do it first gave me a better idea of what I was facing. Since there are only 2 wires to disconnect, I just put a touch of red paint on one set to help remember which goes to which. Thanks for the video, it definitely helped!
Great job explaining this repair. My Stratoliner is in the shop and they told me I needed a new indicator assembly. I'm hoping I can show this to the mechanic and not have to order a new turn signal.
Nice video, I just picked up an 06 roadliner. I went darkside to. Love this bike. I had a kawasaki vulcan 2000, Harley road glide and this bike is so much more refined and reliable. I noticed your in CT. Me too, should go for a ride together.
Wow...wish I had found this video about 4 hours ago. I get the signal light reinstalled after several cuts and bruises. After laying on my back in the hot sun, I get it all put together and tightened everything down, guess what...it came loose again. I needn't explain how I reacted. THEN I decide to do a search and see what I am missing. You earned a thumbs up and a hearty THANK YOU!
Thanks for the video. I have an 08 Raider and am having same issues. No tail lights and no turn signals. Another avenue to chase down. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. It's always nice to see how something is done BEFORE I have to actually do it. The video definitely answered several questions I had with the exception of one. How do you remove the stem from the headlight housing? My front left turn signal is loose on my Strat. I started to mess with it, but wasn't sure about things so I figured I better do some more digging before I do more wrench turning that would ultimately lead to a lot of swearing due to broken parts, lol. Thanks a lot! Ride safe!
Thanks so much! Appreciate it. Hmmm, not sure you would be able to find those clips just anywhere due to the curvature of them. Probably gonna have to find online, or in the Star Forums or something. Hopefully it won’t be a needle in a haystack thing. If the plastic is cracked, might be a good time to change out the lamp assembly completely. That way you don’t have to worry about working with epoxy or finding clips etc. Good luck!
Thank you so much for that information great video work you must be an instructor of some sort. I have an 06 Yamaha Stratoliner s, with 49,000 k on it their stems are loose on my turn signals. Not real news but my God is the first year the bike was made I'm so amazed. still working with no problem. What do you think about that anyway I have a trick up my sleeve. 2 keep the vibration down or don't take it apart yet hehehe hehehe...💗
How did you get the cover of the actual indicator I Ve bought new ones? And I still can't get the lens cover off the turn signal. Can you tell me how you done it
fixing to get those exhausts for my 07 strat, the damn stock ones dont let you get to the fill bolt for the tranny lol somewhere along the way, a mechanic screwed an engineers wife! ;) hell im thinking of refilling it thru the weep hole or lean the bike over and refill thru the drain hole. its got thick crashbars.

I'd never seen a fairing with mirrors. This is uniquely interesting.

Nice job explaining and showing the repair .
Dude this is an outstanding tutorial bravo! Any idea where to get clips? I think mine might be missing them.. and or the Plastic might be damaged!

Shane McGee thanks for the advise! Ended up just fabricating a new clip out of some metal scrap I had worked great!
Awesome, thanks! Just picked up a 2010 Startoliner so I'll keep an eye out for these 👍
No problem! Thanks

I'd probably replace the whole factory blinker set and go aftermarket, me personally don't care for the cone design
Thanks
