I’ve been wanting to learn ukulele for a long time, but this song holds a lot of meaning for me, so I was determined. I play no instruments, and know nothing about music. But my son is 8, and we sing this everyday. He’s taking vocal lessons because he loves singing and plays ukulele all day. He doesn’t know how he just plays what sounds good to him. I had no confidence in my ability to do it at all. After staying up a good chunk of the night and starting this morning, I have tears in my eyes because I finally believe I can do it. It sounds terrible and I’m horrific at barre notes. I haven’t gotten past the intro, but sometimes I hear the sounds I’m supposed to, and my heat beats faster. You’re a fantastic teacher, and I’ve never commented on anything before but I had to tell you how fantastic you are. You give confidence in such an organic way. Thank you!!!
Samantha Adams hey why you gotta make me cry like that ;-; I was just supposed to play along the tutorial but somehow saw your comment And damn, that hit me like a sack of bricks right in my heart
Damn samantha why you gotta be so wholesome i was feeling falling asleep sad but that's impossible now (I'm still grateful dont worry) BUT YOU BETTER PLAY THIS WITH YOUR SON AIGHT
My favorite episode, rather scene, is the episode of Marceline and Finn playing music. At the end of the episode Marceline asks Finn about a pocket on his shirt and he says that Jake is in it. He opens the pocket to reveal Jake and Jake turns over and farts.
I remember watching your videos back in January when I first got my ukulele, thanks for being a huge inspiration for not just learning a new instrument but a motivation to get better in general
Here are screenshots I took of a comment on the life version of the song that shows how to play it (Admittedly I've been having trouble finding the beat of the song with the instructions given in it, but I believe it's how you play the actual song) imgur.com/gallery/pvmztE8 imgur.com/gallery/GZLn1v9 imgur.com/gallery/nKW32e2 Also btw, I still think it would be great if he did a guide on it, his videos are so helpful.

This is the first song I'm learning on my ukulele I got for Christmas. I started playing Time Adventure by accident and thought I'd learn the rest. The looping chords makes it the perfect song for getting used to playing ukulele
This was a song I never thought I could learn when I first started but now I have the whole thing memorized because of this thank you its one of my favorite songs to play.
Picked up the ukulele again after 3 years of it sitting in my closet to learnt to play this song. Spent 2 days trying to learn it on my own until I found your video. Thank you!
Revisiting this after having learnt most of it ages ago, but never quite nailing it. Dexterity is up and it is just coming together so nicely now. Really appreciate your work, mate. Yours was the first channel i came across when learning uke (Stand By Me) and I keep coming back to you and Vasko (Ukuele Cheats) and it's been great. Thank you.
I recently hung out with a bunch of more talented musicians than me and It's inspired me to learn more songs. Thanks for helping me cross this one off my list. ❤
I'm beyond extatic that I can learn the full song now! Thanks for doing this song ukulele teacher! I requested this on your "lady (hear me tonight)" and you probably didn't do this because of that comment but still thanks!
see, i figured out the plucking fairly quickly, but then putting the chords in there along with the new plucking i just learned is gonna be a bit tricky, but I love the videos!!! keep up the amazing work :D
This is the next song I am learning. My favorite part of adventure time is the final. I love the way finn has grown, and the way he interacts with others now. I relate to him and his growth so much. I started this show at 15 or 16. And it is my favorite show. I love it more than Harry Potter now. I got my boyfriend to watch it and now hes in love with it.
i get confused and thrown off at times cause the uke sounds perfect but its like you put a lil twist when you sing cause its not sung like the original song
This is my first song that I don’t strum on, thank you still kinda hard to get down but 🤷🏻 Also my favorite adventure time memory was when jake went crazy thinking his birthday party was being thrown when in reality they were kidnapped by a dear
Love your videos! Can you give a tutorial on City and Colour's "Little Hell"? I really like the finger picking and have been trying to mimic it, but have been having difficulty.
It seems as though what makes most of this song is the little in between plucks. Like how when the G7 is played the pluck goes T-123; I wish this video had gone deeper into those one-offs that help make the song sound fuller. but I'm now having to watch at .25 speed to understand why I can't get it to sound full.
Hi! My school’s talent show is coming up in a little while and I’m wanting to sing and also play Everlong by the Foo Fighters. Could you possibly make a tutorial on that song????
Could you do Plaisir d'amour??? I only found one cover/tutorial, and it was so confusing. It's such a great song to play on uke and it sounds awesome!!! PS I freaking love this song. Thanks for doing a tutorial on it.
First off thanks so much for the content. Completely hooked learning adventure time songs on a Uke. And your post is perfect follow along instructions for a beginner like me, I was wondering, during the last course, if you had seen/heard Rebecca Sugar playing it at CC 2018, I can hear her plucking or something is more than just a down stroke. Do you happen to know the plucking sequence? It adds a bit of spice to the end and I would love to learn it! Love your channel, love Adventure time and love sucking at the uke, but getting better each day.
I love your videos and I was wondering if you could possibly do a lesson on how to play Edelweiss from the movie The Sound of Music (sang by Christopher Plummer in the movie)! It would be absolutely incredible! Thank for all of your lessons :)
PIN ME!!!!
If you don't ask, you don't get! 📌📌📌
I am unsubscribing
Good job
Lol
Dr_T-Bagger heyyy
I’m sorry plucking??!?!!?

Maybe you could do Everything stays, also by Rebecca Sugar? I love the song but can't figure out the plucking :(

I recently hung out with a bunch of more talented musicians than me and It's inspired me to learn more songs. Thanks for helping me cross this one off my list. ❤

Thank you for this tutorial ♥
My ukulele died tragically and though I really missed it, this tutorial made me miss it more than words can say. Thank you❤ I loved it
