I never thought we'd ever see a better triple back dismount from high bar until Justin Spring's performance in the team finals of the 2008 Olympics. I think I remember hearing that Trent was in the stands for that.

He was always also close to perfection until this exercise. There is nothing they could have taken away from his score not a wobble not a line out of place absolutely nothing. I literally think the reason he didn’t react was number one because you can’t and number two because he was in shock. He would almost always step out of a tumbling pass or make one tiny tiny mistake every single time I saw him until this exercise. Look on his face after he did his exercise was one of your off and absolutely pure joy. I think I was screaming louder than his coach when I saw this originally and I was really only about 14.
