How do i lower the sound of the navigation app (tried with google maps and apple maps) while using apple car play? if i turn the volume down while the voice is speaking it only turns the radio sound down but not the voice commands of the navigation app.

Can you use your phone whilst the sat nav is running?
I have a toyota yaris hybrid 2021. When I connect my iPhone 6 and attempt navigation either with Google maps or Apple maps it picks up the initial address but then it doesn't follow through for directions. I see that I have a signal so I don't know what's wrong and why the navigation system just stops. Apple Car Play is connected. Can you advise?

Thinking of getting the new Yaris would appreciate some feedback from all of you. Are you happy with the car? What should I be wary of with it. I've heard the battery is smaller so you can easily drain it if the car isn't on.. What about the speedometer display, looks a bit basic in vids, how is it in real life?
@@rukkay3708 so I have a 2020 Yaris hatchback ( I’m only 17) I do recommend it as a good first car or budget car it does great on gas has a backup camera and apple car play / android auto also a decent sized trunk this isn’t a race car tho it does get up to speed but takes a while so if u like going fast it isn’t for you lol

Is it possible to connect your Apple iPhone through Bluetooth instead of connecting it with a cable? (I bought my Yaris yesterday, but I will receive it in February...can’t wait!!! 😅). Thanks for answering ☺️
Hey, Monia. You can connect your iPhone via Bluetooth, however, Apple CarPlay is only available when connecting your iPhone via USB.

@@andrewfrost8422 I received my Yaris and I have to confirm that, in order to use Apple CarPlay, the phone must be always connected with the cable. You can connect the phone with Bluetooth for calls or music, but you can’t use Apple CarPlay.

Sad is that we have to wait until 2020 to get android support in Yaris. That is just terrible :) I have gen 3 my20 , one of the last old model made, I got it for good price but there is no android no mirror link..
Earlier this year I almost bought a Yaris as I think the design is beyond beautiful. Howver, one of three reasons I ultimately didn't make the purchase is because I consider it utterly unforgivable and totally unacceptable that even the Excel model comes sans satnav- I can't be doing faffing about with a cable and phone connection thank you very much Toyota. Your omission is indescribably infuriating.

or down.. in my corolla from 2021 its so damn loud that it really hurts my ears.

@@leepingfrog Found it! open maps, goto setup > voice > volume (not sure if its named like that in your case because mine is German). There you can change the volume of the navigation voice!

I was trying for ages to get this to work on my Yaris. And it looks like the problem I had was just not plugging it in via the cable. I thought you could do it wirelessly…😂😂😂
there are bluetooth devices which you connect to your car that allow using wireless apple carplay. and they work pretty good!
What if u lost Internet connection. U r lost then map don't work how do fix that problem ...

No is the answer to that, only in EU. Like a lot of extras. Heated seats & steering wheel & wireless charging mat & height adjustable boot floor. Only in the EU not the UK.
No, the HUD is only good with the factory sat nav. not compatible with AA and AC
Have you not come further than having to connect the phone with USB? It should work via bluetooth now more.
Apple car play will update sat nav. What Sat Nav. The new Yaris has a map button but NO sat nav.
Apple car play is useless when you have no connection so you have no maps. The My T app will not work with send to my car. None of the registration pictures work with my model. So a year down the line & still not working. This will be my last Yaris after 10 years. No SAT NAV is the last straw. I was lead to believe when I purchased the car it would be added in the spring this year. Fat chance now.
The tyre wear is abysmal & the quality of the interior is far below the standards for 24, 000 on Excel model. The arm rests which are hard as boards & the centre arm rest is not even deep enough to put anything in other than business cards. Apple car play is not wireless. No heated seats or steering wheel in the UK like in the EU. No wireless charging mat. I had a fight with Toyota Uk & got a height adjustable boot floor which cost me £495.00 & Toyota paid the £400 per side to change the boot panels. For a new model the interior quality is better than previous models, but far from the standards of VW, BMW or Mazda. To top it all you get ONE USB 2 socket. Good bye Toyota.
