What is a cantarito? Cantaritos are a delicious and refreshing tequila-based cocktail that is found in the Tequila region of Jalisco, Mexico.
Cantarito ingredients include: ice, salt, lime juice, grapefruit juice, orange juice, and grapefruit-flavored soda (like Squirt). This video demonstrates the cantaritos recipe used at Cantaritos el Güero Amatitán, which all come in the namesake jar.
Cantaritos el Güero Amatitán is one of the most famous places in Mexico to order a cantarito. It's located on the side of the highway between the towns of Tequila and Amatitán. It's a fun place to go on the weekends when the outdoor bar becomes packed with over a thousand people all sipping on cantaritos.
The size of the cantaritos range from small to jumbo. Cantarito prices at Cantaritos el Güero Amatitán vary depending on the size of the jar and the quality of the tequila chosen. Cantaritos prices start at $65 pesos (about $3.40 USD) for a "chico" (small) cantarito with cheap tequila, while a jumbo cantarito with premium tequila costs over $4,000 pesos (over $200 USD).
The price for each of these medium cantaritos with Centenario Plata tequila, shown in the video, was $170 pesos ( about $9 USD). You get to keep jar as a souvenir.

Awesome thank you, see alot of the grande vid the one with two half gallons but I couldn't tell if it was oranges and grapefruit or just grapefruit. Then I watched some vids from up here a d they using jarritos not squirt and the red salt on rim and other red juice ,this looks more appealing by far.

It's not "like" squirt it's SUPPOSED to be squirt. And different places in Jalisco have different styles of cantaritos. El güero isn't the only nor the best...I've had better
