Many think that if you follow the 10 commandments you are keeping 1 John 2:3-4 but it is more than that you need to keep Jesus' 2 commandments Matthew 22:34+
Even when Christians claim to follow the 2 commandments they often forget to love your enemies as they are your neighbors as well. We also forget to love God over everything else. Think of what you spend most of your time on and that may be your idol. Ask God to show you ways you can use that thing you love to do to honor God.
