The lead in vid is awesome. When seeing 5 stages of scaffolding, the mill race, I was struck by the thought......what history. All the years of making grain into flour, the families that have owned and operated the mill. And the customers, wow. May it live on as a new masterpiece beyond your lifetime. Thank you for sharing the transition with us, the viewers.
This is a fantastic video! I can't wait to see the new dormers and roof completed. Btw, I love the "ugly" side of the building - it has a story and your new chapter will be transformative. Your plan is brilliant and it's going to be wonderful when you're all done with it
Wow! - I've just noticed the silo in that cluster of buildings across the road/bridge - are they all yours? If not, I hope they are occupied. It's always wonderful to make new lives for outbuildings and old industrial premises - but that would be amazing to repurpose a silo!!!
@@MoulinCouesnonok well I will assume that means that yes, you do own those lovely outbuildings AND the silo - that is very exciting! You have years of work to do!
Possibly, we were advised previously that the sous sol fodded but the water was very high in january and the farmers fields flooded and the sous sol did not. We will design the sous sol accordingly, with finishes that can withstand a bit of water and raise the services just in case.
@@MoulinCouesnon ....and maybe a thought to inflatable furniture, you know, just in case? lol Quite a challenge you've taken on and we will be here to follow along with you.
I’m so impressed with what you’ve accomplished! Well done - you both have vision and talents to finish this massive project. All the best , totally enjoying your updates. Linda 🏴
I just love watching your progress with the Mill. Thank you for the updates. Well done so far to you both.
I’m enjoying your videos thanks so much for the updates. Gosh it’s a huge building and the roof is going to be so nice. Lovely views

Roof looks great hope to see the progress soon. Ann 🏴
Crazy crazy idea 😮 Is it possible to restore the mill as a tourist attraction? That would be interesting 😮😮😮

Phase 2 perhaps 🤔

Coming right along, exciting!
It would be no good me taking it on. I'm no stranger to building work or hard work but I would be fishing all day.
Yes there must be some good spots around there for fishing - and swimming too, I hope.
I think I heard Paul say it's a 'salmon run'??
So glad the renovation of the bridge is not your responsibility.
Will you have somewhere to sit outside other than the balcony?
We are having a large terrace at the rear also x
Has the ground floor of the mill ever flooded in the past
We have been told no and no evidence of it xx
I’m thinking that you must of made a huge killing on the Chateau that you sold in order to pay for all the works so far, it’s very exciting ❤
Does it not worry you that you could flood?
It’s only flooded once that we know of, and that was in the sous sol so not what will be the main house so fingers crossed x
Good luck with the new project. Can I ask out of interest why you left your last chateau?
To focus on renovation rather than running a business (which detracted from our love of diy)
Looks amazing. If the river rises would you get flooded?

What are your plans for the Moulin, once the renovations are completed?
Large family home and one gite on the left
