Hello! I have been making candles for 13 years, and recently opened a candle vessel online shop in Michigan. I would like to 3d print a template for others. How do we mathematically space them away from the EDGES...and not just each other? I’m guessing for now (as i have been for 13 years), but there has got to be an equation for it...lol!

These companies need to make a bag of wicks with different wicks to test out, so we won’t have to buy 100 wicks that do not work. That way we can test each wick for the candle that we are creating. It all could be so simple. I keep getting tunneling with the new libby tumblr jar and it is soooo annoying. Wish me luck.

Me too , iv been having a right nightmare with a 50cl jar 🤦 gone thru every size and all are either too small or too big so gonna try this tmro and use 3 smaller ones and see how I go il let u know if it's successful but iv literally made the same candle 10 times and still not perfected ,I have to be close now surely ha

Either I’m a moron or this definitely doesn’t work for tins like you say it does. So, you cut and place the paper inside the container, how do you find center to know where to place the coins?

According to LoneStar:
We have come up with a simple equation to use (I know, math is scary) that can help you decide what size wicks to use in your candle jars:
diameter ÷ the number of wicks you want to use + .25 inches = your wick size
So, if you have a jar that is 4.5 inches wide and you want to use 3 wicks, your equation would look like this:
4.5 ÷ 3 + .25 = 1.75
This means you will need a wick that will burn up to a 1.75 inch diameter to use 3 wicks in your 4.5 inch wide jar.
OR
Divide the diameter of the jar by half
Example: 3 inch/2= 1.5 in
You will select the wick size for 1.5 in and test 2 of them.

I have triple wood wicked my 11 cm diameter candle, but 1 wick always drowns. I tried 2 wicks but didnt have a good melt pool. What should i do ?

I have the 3" diameter libbey straight side tumblers from Candle Science, and using 464 wax, but soon will have some 6006, what wooden wick do you recommend for this jar?
Call CS, they will be able to tell you.
From what I’m understand the double wicks should work fine. Or double up the small ones.
this is an awesome video, with great advice.However it doesn’t help me figure out the distance from the side of the vessel.
Not sure what you mean. Does it need to? Once you wick you still need to test to determine how far to place them for a final product.
What if you're using a container that is 3.5 and then tapers to 2.25 at the top. Would you double wick that or nah?
