    My question. My measurements was so off. I was calculating for an 8 oz tin size instead of 6 oz. Thanks!!!!

    I really enjoy your videos. Your reviews and tutorials are very precise. Not just how you feel . Your information is complete and you never trash a supplier with a scrunched up nose. You explain why you like or dislike a subject professionally. It seems like you find out what all the facts are first. This is so important for people watching so they aren't misled. Thank you.

    I feel like wicking shallow vessels are so much harder than taller vessels. You always have to go bigger than the recommended wick guides!
    Gorgeous! As always.

    Hello, I was wondering if you could help me little bit. I have 3.5in tins and before I used one wicks now I found out I had to use double wicks so I’m gonna keep it to both things but I was wondering how long does these candles burn for? Do you have any idea? I’m using 3.5 inch tin jar, it’s a fancy tins with lid. Thanks will be waiting for your reply

    This video is really informative. Right now I’m trying 464 wax because a year ago I always seen soy wax and people say it’s good for beginners. I’m going to try this wax next thanks ! Your candles look niceeee. Also, how many burn hours do you get out of coconut wax In total, and does coconut wax have a good hot throw? Because I heard that it’s hard to get a good hot throw with 464

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  Год назад

      Great question. I would maybe suggest starting out on Etsy, because it can be a little difficult to drive traffic to a shopify site. If you already have a good following on social media, then you can probably just go straight to shopify.

    I don't know what I'm doing so wrong, I use beeswax and after its done drying my beeswax cracks from the wick outward straight across. What is it I'm doing wrong.your candles are beautiful

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  2 года назад +1

      Hmm I have never worked with beeswax, so I'm not sure what could be causing that. Are you using only beeswax or blending it with another wax? I do know beeswax is a very hard wax, so that is what could be causing the cracking.

    My tins are also 8oz but doesn’t have a fill line how much fragrance/wax should I pour in them to make them all the same ?

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  6 месяцев назад

      I find 8oz tins typically hold 6oz. You could weigh each one until you get an idea of how much to fill and then can eyeball it. Or Norden Candle Supply has a wax fill gauge I'll link for you. It fits over their wick holders. nordencandlesupply.com/collections/wax-level-gauges/products/wax-level-gauge

    Love your videos! How much do you use of each wax (coconut 83 and SP487?) for one candle? I ordered coconut 83 from Cal.Supply co but when went to order the SP 487 from Swan candles it doesn't give you a drop down buy button. I may need to order elsewhere but wasn't sure of amount to order. thanks

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  2 года назад +1

      I just looked and it looks like they are currently out and have it on order. I would recommend testing out different ratios of the waxes to see what works best for you. I do a 80/20 blend. So 80% of coco83, and 20% of sp487. I know some people do 75/25, or even 85/15.

    How are you able to keep your collection so small. With so many fragrances out here to choose from?

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  Год назад +1

      It can be difficult to narrow down with all of the options! I went into it with wanting to find that sweet spot of offering enough scents, but not too many that it becomes overwhelming to the customer. I plan on adding another scent this year, making my collection a total of 6 scents, and I’m plenty happy with that!
