- This is a short video outlining how I prepared for the GAMSAT. I review my exam strategy for each section, the resources I used and general preparation tips.
I did the GAMSAT in Dublin in September 2017 and achieved an overall score of 65.

Bro I don't even know if this channel is active anymore but I just wanted to say I'm sitting the exam next week and I find myself coming back to this video for a good dose of calm and reason, for some reason your approach just seems so pragmatic and I think anyone can benefit from this advice, there's so much out there and this is so concise and distilled. Hi I've watched both of your videos on UKCAT and GAMSAT. Congratulations on doing so well! I will be sitting the exams this year and I just wanted to thank you for the tips and advice. I will be applying to both Ireland and the UK med schools for 2019 entry. Good luck with med school in September!

Apologies if this is an intrusive question but GAMSAT and medicine hopeful here, did you opt for the BOI Loan? That would be my plan and I have major worries over it. Really enjoyed the video!
Just wondering, what was your score on the sample essay exams that you purchased from ACER? Was it similar to what you actually got on the real exam?
From what I can recall my actual essay score was higher than the score on my practice essay exam
Hey! I just decided to do the GAMSAT next year March. I’m going into my 3rd and final year in Engineering. Do you think that’s enough time to study? Seeing as I’m going to be doing my final year project as well.How long did you take to study for the GAMSAT? Also would I be able to have your email to ask you more questions as your results are what I would dream of!
Heya! Yes, I think between now and March is enough time although I would definitely prioritise your final year above the GAMSAT considering that without a 2:1 you won't be able to use the GAMSAT in Ireland! I took approximately 10-11 weeks in preparation for the GAMSAT last September (oh the memories...). At this stage read through the official guide plus attempt some of the official sample questions to get an idea of the layout, timing and question styles. I can imagine - coming from an engineering background - that your section II will require some work, thus I'd also advise doing 2 essays as soon as possible (untimed) in order to get over the initial discomfort associated with writing essays for the first time since the leaving cert/high school.

Level 8 is required
