Yeah, I totally agree. To be a older mold - it's actually not bad. For what it is, it definitely gets the job done. And such a great trooper design. That's awesome you keep one in your backpack - love it! Thanks so much for checking out the video, Justin! 👍🏻👍🏻👊
Since I was a kid watching Return of The Jedi when it came out in the cinema, I always liked the look of the Scout Troopers. I'm hoping Hasbro will do an updated version soon. Butterfly joints, removable helmet and increase the size of the tiny blaster. A small detail I love on this figure is he has proper boot treads sculpted across the soles, not just arond the edges. Cool review and comparison Matt. The paint apps (dirt/grime) being different adds variety.👍
Same here - it's such a cool look. Not sure if they'll ever redo this trooper, but it would be nice. The articulation isn't horrible, but it could definitely be better in places. Yeah, the boots look great. I love when they sculpt a full tread like that. Thanks so much for watching, Jonathan! 👍🏻
Excellent pickups matt Bryant awesome video on the 40th anniversary biker scouts they look good to army build them keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one matt Bryant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍺🍺🍺🍺i just brought doctor aphra 6 inch black series one
Truth! Awesome trooper design. I'm not familiar with the commando version. I'll have to look that up. Thanks for checking out the video - I appreciate it. 👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely agree with yoy, Matt - this design is perhaps my favourite trooper as well. A little biased perhaps as I'm a biker too 8-) But the design is so cool, even for a forest trooper, or scout. My first BS figure was the biker scout set with speeder bike - they should really put those out there again as well. Not too big, not too small.
Great design indeed. Sleek, but a little intimidating at the same time. I would love for them to re-release the brown speeder bike from ROTJ. It's such a nice set. That's super cool that it was your first purchase. I appreciate you watching, Uffe! 👍🏻
Bra please guide me through on how to get the figure out of the card without messing up the card. Unless you've already have a video that shows you removing figure from the card. If you do, can you send me the link? And sweet video.
I may have done a video on it a while back . Can't remember which figure... But, all I do is cut along the bottom of the bubble (right up against the card) and then along the corners of the bottom of the bubble. That will create a "door" that I can open. I slide the tray out, extract the figure, slide the tray back in the outer bubble and then close the door and tape it shut. People have different ways of doing it, but that's what I've always done. Maybe the next carded figure I get, I could show it. Thanks for watching, Martin! 👍🏻
So I’m a newISH collector. I’ve been buying but haven’t kept up. What’s the difference between archive, black series and those Kenner ones? Are they all the same size?
Yep, all are 6inch. Black series are the regular ones, the 40th Kenner cardbacks are re releases (some newer figures like Snowspeeder Luke, Dagobah Luke or Wicket) done for the 40th anniversary and the archive line are re-releases of out of print figures.
They're all Black Series. Archive is simply Black Series figures getting "refreshed" as they are usually figures that are higher in value/more rare. Gives collectors a chance to get figures that they missed out on. Black Series will also celebrate things like 40th anniversaries where they will put a Black Series figure such as Wicket or Emperor Palpatine on a 40th anniversary ROTJ Kenner cardback. It's just the Black Series figure on a Kenner inspired card.
These two guys answered your question perfectly. It's a fun hobby and an even better community of collectors. Thanks so much for checking out the video!
I absolutely love the scout trooper. It’s always been my favorite imperial trooper design. I just got my figure and it’s amazing. It’s my first black series figure ever and it’s very posable. I wish it had butterfly joints. And I just love taking photos of it and posting them. I’m gonna make a review on this amazing figure
Glad you got it! It's a great figure. Despite being on an old body, the articulation isn't too bad. If they re-tooled this figure with today's engineering, it would be incredible. Thanks for checking out the video!
No doubt! As far as another figure... If it were me, I would think of all my favorite characters and then go from there. There are so many good ones from every era. Some of the Vader's are really good. You can't go wrong with a Stormtrooper. Han, Luke, or Leia. C-3P0 and R2. Some of the Clone Troopers. So many good ones. That's what I would do.
@@Matt_Bryant stormtrooper was in my *maybe* list. I hope they make a 41st scout trooper because I really love those. They need to be featured more in Star Wars. I’m not the biggest fan of characters without helmets when it comes to action figures because they look…. Off… but I’ll definitely buy a kenobi one day
I love him, and have more than enough of him too. I think this ROTJ Card should be the last repack for QUITE a while. Several years, at least. Make room in the schedule for something else. Damnit.
It's a great figure to be as old as it is. But yes, I agree - they need to either redo this one or look at some other trooper designs to throw at us. Thanks for watching, Shakes! 👍🏻
Haha yeah, I only have a handful on card. I like playing with them and I've kinda run out of wall space to hang cards in the same room as the collection. 🤣 Thanks so much for watching! 👍🏻
keeping the cards for ARCHIVE ... shit, you are taking no prisoners. I keep the boxes (for now) but cards get recycled... and archive i consider loose figures on purchase. Biker Scout... funny story i bought the archive one, for some reason Amazon send me one from UK, with import taxes, didn't even realize it... i think 2 or 3 weeks nothing was delivered so i clicked some buttons and complained where it is and they send out a 2nd one free of charge, ONE DAY LATER the first one arrived. ...so i got 2, but considering how much more the first one was because of import stuffs, it wasn't even a great deal to get 2 for the price of 1, that was early on when i wasn't even sure of the prices on these things yet and just bought everything off Amazon...
Haha yep. I've always liked the art on the Archive line. Of course, I could just take the insert with the art on it out and display it somehow - but, I have wall and they all fit. LOL! That is a crazy story about your scouts. I bet the import taxes are insane. I can't imagine 2 for the price of 1 not being a good deal. Craziness... I appreciate you checking out the video, Zero!
You're quite welcome, and thank you for watching. The first thing I noticed was the boots and the dirt on the chest. I was quite pleased that they are a little different. Such a cool trooper and you can't have too many! I appreciate you, Tommy! 👍🏻👍🏻👊
This trooper has truly stood the test of time! So good. I bought an extra to keep in my hiking backpack, haha. -Justin
Yeah some cardbacks in your collecting room would be awesome. 😂

Nice Scout trooper comparison video!. Great job Matt !!. Thanks for sharing my friend.👍👊☮️

I love seeing you uploaded I don't really know why but you have rapidly become my favorite reviewer so keep it up!

Can never have TOO many Scout Troopers!
Now to track down the Commando version from the Target Exclusive pack from years ago...

@@Matt_Bryant It's actually the figure in my avatar, only on a Honda CBR motorcycle in 1/12 scale :D
@@Djkold Haha nice! 🔥🔥🔥
@@Matt_Bryant Thank you haha :D it just felt very fitting in multiple ways :D
you can compare the emperor too ? 40th rotj vs archive??
I didn't pick up the 40th Emperor. I did pick up the 40th Gamorrean Guard - I may do a comparison video for that one.
