    Dear Rüdiger! Beautiful film! It fascinates me how you showed the full development of this butterfly in non-standard version. Especially production of the net (from 1:10). It is absolutely amazing! It's very poetic. The insect - although in many places is common, it is my observation that fades in many positions. Probably a matter of urbanization and communications (many butterflies find dead on the shore of roads and frot of cars). I really like the piece, from 16:44 when you show a couple hatched butterflies. Regards from Adam.

      Hello Adam,
      thank you very much for your comment. At least the video was something you could enjoy. I don't know what is going on with YT, but sometimes subscribers do not get an info when a new video is available.
      Have a nice and creative forthcoming weekend.

    Thank you again Mr. Hartmann! I subscribed to your channel. I've always loved animals and nature, but I used to work long hours so I couldn't devote enough time to my various hobbies & interests. I'm now able to enjoy the beauty and splendor of Earth, which many people take for granted. I am looking forward to watching all of your videos and any others you recommend. Can't wait for my Galaxy 6 phone to be repaired so I can view your videos properly! Thank you again. ☺☺☺

    Thank you for the video. This is the first time I see in a video how the two parts of the probiscus are formed together. I read about this, but through your video, I can see it the first time.

    I used to do this years ago.
    Small tortoishells were my first butterfly raising project.
    Lol... :-))
    My neighbors thought I was crazy keeping a patch of "Stinging nettles" !..in my garden, even after explaining to them what they were for...But when the time came for the butterflies to be released into the garden...Just seeing them fly off about the place...My regards to my "neighbors" .

    This is so cool! I currently have 5 Small tortoiseshell chrysalises in various states of readiness! This morning two of them had turned darker and you can see the coloured wings through the chrysalis in the light! Was good to see this and know they might be emerging soon! Feels like they didn't stay inside too long really!

      Good luck for your tortoiseshell hatching soon!

      Did you see them hatching?

    • @TirelireDeTitane
      @TirelireDeTitane 4 года назад

      @ The first seemed to happen as I was looking away for one minute! Which is typical! But I managed to see the second one hatch! It was so interesting to watch the proboscis join up and it's wings stretch! Really interesting creatures!
