I am doing a time trial for my cross country team today. No pikes peak marathon but good luck Edit: ran a 17:37 50 seconds faster than last years PR 18:20
Wishing you a great race....we have watched your vlogs daily.....love how supportive the family is too....you are wonderful parents and know where your priorities are!
Been using the Bondi for the last 4 years! My reasons might be a little different...I need the most cushion I can get due to the fact that my Lower lumbar (L1 to L5) and tailbone are fused. Plus I am a weightlifter. (Weighing 245) So for those two reasons I love the Bondi! But wait...Yesterday my Nike Zoom Alphafly Next%'s came in the mail. Cant wait to give them a try. Congrats on your win Seth! Keep those videos coming! Happy days to you!
I have ran in the Bondi the last couple of years while recovering from a back injury. I fell off a scaffold at work and broke some ribs and hurt my back. They were the only shoes that I could run in without being in agony. Now days I am back in other shoes but they are my recovery day go to shoes.
I might have to check them out. I had 2 bulging discs flare up to the point of not being able hold my self up or walk. I am better about 75 % and need good shoe options.
I've put over 400 miles on my Bondi 6s since October. They were very appreciated when my knee wasn't feeling 100%. And even though they're kinda heavy, I had them on in my 2nd-fastest 5K.
I'll be running PPM with you from way back in Wave 7. I'm an old geezer & flatlander planning on having as much fun as possible in my 1st PPM. I ran the PPA last year & it was a blast. I hope to see you on your way down. Have a great race.
Seth, I have been watching your channel for almost a year now and I really appreciate the content. I do my best to click the thumbs up but I often just forget and mentally give you a thumbs up. I would be happy to see a reminder to click the thumbs up. I’m sure others would be happy to get the reminder as well.
It's good to be back Seth. I had to take a break from your videos since I was dealing with an injury and really frustrated I couldn't run the way I wanted to. Luckily things are looking up at the moment so I'm excited to slowly be getting back on my feet. Good luck at pikes peak! Go butter some bread! 🍞
Late night at Andy’s yesterday but I wish I saw this sooner! Would have absolutely loved to come out to watch/ support everyone! I wrongly assumed they’d try to minimize spectators :( next time!
detectingMO I was thinking something similar to that. I’m sure he’s stronger now and obviously this is a decision he considered thoroughly, so gotta trust the boss
I agree... those shoes will do great on the uphill, but that is only half the race. I thought he might go with the Inov-8 Terraultra G 270 as he really liked those shoes and they have more cushion but not as much traction. Trust the boss though! It’s his race.
Huffing and puffing to keep up with Seth's recovery pace, glorious! Love those Compressport socks, got a couple pairs myself. Still prefer the Salomon NSO for long race efforts though. The CS can be a bit slippy while the NSOs with their rubbery thread won't move at all. Thought your favourite trail racing socks were the NSOs as well? QD: Neither. Not interested tbh, since the field is very weak this year. I'm glad you'll win 100% though, easy $1500 :-D
Good luck Sunday! I’m so excited you would think I was racing😆 don’t go out too fast save some for that downhill! Great family! Love the picnic you had in the room at the end!
Hi Seth, good luck for the race tomorrow. After so much good preparation for the race, you will enjoy your time tomorrow. Great support from your family. Until yesterday I was still hoping to see you in Amsterdam, but this year is very special. So next Chance in 2021. Greetings from Germany.🏃♂️🏃♂️🏈🏈
Bondi’s are the best for easy/recovery runs. Save the legs 100%. I’ll admit they look kind of silly with the massive stack height but they are so effective at saving the legs I wear them anyways. Oh and I’m surprised Seth’s not wearing the Solomon S-Lab Sense 8... I think this is his first peak mountain race in a while without a Solomon shoe?!?
...used the Bondi 6s all last season and at 500+ miles, loved them for my ez days. Gonna go with Clifton 7s instead of B7s...but I'll likely pick up some Bondi 6s on sale too as they were ace 👍 good luck Seth at Pikes 💜
The Bondi is almost too easy on the legs. What I mean is this. It is my primary easy day shoe and I love it. But when I try other, less cushioned shoes (New Balance Propel or Peg 37 for example) it always takes a few runs for my legs to get used to those. I love the Bondi so much, but because I feel like I’m painting my legs into a shoe corner I’m going to give the Clifton 7 a try next.
Any clip with the family together in the car is fun. I expect as you get older that the kids will take up more of your time. We have that large Chevy SUV too. It has been invaluable for a large family.
Wish the air quality were better for you. I’ve been monitoring it on the W. Slope where we live and see it’s even worse in Denver but also Co Springs. Hope tomorrow AM its ok.
GO GET ‘ EM!
Special man right there. All the best Seth.

Seth, it’s unbelievable that you have a heart rate of 106 BPM with this kind of pace. Your aerobic system is over the moon!
Insane
Robert Heinsch For sure. Amazing.
Not running but I am pretty excited for this race! It's got such a great history with top runners too.

Best of luck Seth! Wish I was there... One of my favorite races and areas.
That's a brave man wearing those soccer cleats for 26.2.
Indeed! Was thinking the same thing. I guess he had good success with Inov-8 this summer
Yeah gives me thoughts of when he broke his foot running in rebok run fast pro's in the cookie chase 5k. that downhill has got to be brutal.
detectingMO I was thinking something similar to that. I’m sure he’s stronger now and obviously this is a decision he considered thoroughly, so gotta trust the boss

Not a Bondi fan....they feel like to chunks of foam under my feet with no form to them.
Ill be racing! See you there, im in the 4th wave. Im wondering if the smoke will be an issue?
Good luck!
All the best for the race Seth!
Do you have a neck gaiter to put on at times during the race?
Have a great race Seth! Crush it! ♥️
Wish I could be there to watch a film, Seth! Crush it. I am hiking it next weekend partly just to be in awe of the race and its demands.
