    My brother bought me a box from eBay of ~50 cars someone was selling. There’s a few vintage cars in it (woo!), and I hope to start my own channel this year as I get into customizing these. Thanks for such a great collection of tutorials and inspiration 😊😊

    This looks insane, love the fade look, just when you said you were going to stop half way with the red I was dreading you might do the back half orange or yellow to make a flame look. So happy you went with the stainless chrome instead. I'd love to see a custom Plymouth superbird or one of the Nissan skylines, those models have such fine detail for awesome realistic paint jobs.

    • @ollieolliver2693
      @ollieolliver2693 6 лет назад +1

      Haha, I was the opposite - I was really dubious when he said he'd stop half way and leave the back end chrome, but it worked out really well and the car looks great.

    Have you ever thought about doing emergency vehicles? I think a series of videos where you make an ambulance, police car, and fire truck complete with some decals and what not, would be really awesome. You could even make it something of a charity thing, encouraging your viewers at the end of the video to donate to a specific charity or children's hospital or something and having the person who donates the most have the emergency vehicle of that video sent to them as a prize. :D

      There was that police car that was turned into a military police car if that counts? But I agree, I would love to see an ambulance or firetruck here, even if it is just redone in spectraflame.

    Worth me mentioning it twice but this is a beautiful transformation of one of my few favourite fantasy castings. This, Boneshaker, Quik & Sik & the MR11/BDD12. The latest is Rally Cat & also like the Fish N Chipd.As the current TM is still mostly metal with only plastic glaze/interior/wheels, this model is worth giving a makeover to resemble a 60s/70s model without having to spend a ton on buying an original. Just use a modern redline as a wheel donor

    more suggestions that I have for modern cars being given the retro treatment are: The Bone Shaker, Side Ripper, the Danicar or the Twin Mill 3, for colors... Light Green, (like in the Twin Mills from back in the day) Purple, and if you still need practice with it, Rose
    preferably I would like to see either the Danicar (Because it's my favorite Hot Wheels car) or the Twin Mill 3 since, y'know, the Twin Mill was the first fantasy Hot Wheels car, I would love to see the most recent encarnation of the Twin Mill trilogy being given the Treatment of its ancestors

    Wow great job! I also hadn’t heard of liquid masking and that will come in REAL handy with the custom interiors I’m working on. I like American muscle cars and hot rods as well as lowriders the most so taking on any 1968 model of those would be my vote!

    When I was younger my favorite was definitely the sharkruiser. Now though, I think it might be the Twin Mills (though I'll be honest I don't like the gen E [because of it's absent motors- it looks off and very different] or some of the newer models [the ones that are taller and stubbier]).

Thank you if you get around to reading this, the twinduction is one of my favorite hot wheels so i think it’d be really cool to see it go retro

    OMFG I remember having a hot wheels car like that as a kid. Though mine was silver, metal iirc... had very very similar look to it body wise, lost it years n years ago. It was my all time fav toy car though, I searched for something like it over n over at diff times with no real success, so far this is the closest thing to it ive seen. Might not be the same one ...(twin mill) but its close enough. Now I know what the name of this type is at least and maybe someday buy one similar to what I use to have. Im 30 now but damn, id still love to have one of those. Thank you, for showing this one, looked so long for something so similar to what I had I gave up hope on finding one like it.

  • @Skittleman2341

    I really like the paint job you gave this Twin Mill baremetalHW. I also like the Twin Mill casting as well. I would say, it would be really interesting to see a Deora II done to look like it is from the 1960s/1970s. I also agree with Oldskool DA9 on seeing some Japanese imports done in custom colors and custom wheels. Another idea you could do baremetalHW is you could do all the different Twin Mill castings in the same color scheme. Since you did the original Twin Mill in the red and chrome color, you could do that on the Twin Mill II and Twin Mill III. I think that would look really cool. And you could do that same with the Deora and Deora II by giving those matching paint schemes and wheels. I really enjoy these videos and I cannot wait to see what new projects are coming for 2018.

    I'm curious as to how durable the Spectraflame paint is... I currently make and sell dice made out of aluminum and I used to just sand them to a 2000 grit before selling them. After watching your videos I started polishing them with your technique and they got a lot more popular. I'm wondering if painting them with spectraflame would hold up to use.

    I actually have that very red Twin Mill in the start of the video, with the white stripe, as well as a matching blue one.
    Also I just found this channel yesterday and have watched several videos so far, it's been quite entertaining! Very glad it just happened to randomly show up in recommended.
