Without a doubt: this is the best channel on RUclips. Never a video "for the views", always honost , even the flaws ( not fails ) are shown. You set the benchmark. Every video is a jewel to watch. I wonder why you didn't get the diamond RUclips button already. Ffing well deserved! Best wishes for this year, hope to enjoy your channel for a long time. Greetings and a bow from the Netherlands.
Very cool change of pace video. I'm hoping you do more custom work like this (even if it is to imitate another car), as much as I love your restorations. You have a lot more skills than just basic strip-paint-finish, and you're a great channel to learn from.
Wow! The decals result, shows just how steady your hands are, and how GREAT your restoration/customization talent is 😃 I just had to come back , and re-watch some of your old videos. We finally found a rancher style home, and we moved into it, this June(2022). It has a workshop, in the basement!!! As soon, as I finish unpacking and setting it up, I plan to restore and customize diecast vehicles, with our 11yr old daughter. She's super excited, too 🙂
I love this casting and you made it better. I am glad to see another video where you sand and improve the casting. Also great work on the finish polish instead of sanding the zinc. Awesome improvement. I noticed the sanding marks on the last green car so this was a nice change that taught me alot. Awesome work, awesome channel. Thank you!
Wow, that is epic!! Love the colour and the decals! Looks just like the Candy Striper.. really cool, and a nice and relatively cheap way to get an exclusive car. I'd really like to see another video like this.
Custom wheels and perhaps htf replacement parts sound like some great possibilities. Would also like to see another go at this car, if & when you're up for one. Nothing wrong with having a unique take on an existing exclusive, but it's also satisfying to know that your skills have developed enough that you can nail the exact look you're after.
This is the best 55 Chevy I've seen. The details are much better than original from Mattel. Every time I watch a video I see something better than the last one. Great Job!!
I don't have a personal interest in doing what you do, but I'm always excited to watch a new video when it comes out. You never dissapoint and your craftsmanship and attention to detail is astonishing! Thanks for the content and keep it up!
Very kickass. Increasing your skill level, a resin 3D printer? Your cars are gonna start looking insane. Very kickass indeed. Awesome video, thank you always for sharing.
I like to see all the steps, such as stripping etc. I understand that it adds to the video, but I don't mind a longer video. I enjoy watching you work. Keep up the good work!
I stumbled on your channel a while back and while I am a collector it’s mostly stuff that interests me from a automotive standpoint and the only one that I may someday try a restoration on is my 1970 Lesney Mini Cooper. I watch your videos as while it’s cool to see the restoration process it’s more of something I watch to relax. Bud, your delivery could put me to sleep and that ain’t a bad thing
Looks fantastic! I would definitely dig seeing you do the next version with the white roof. Not sure why I missed the Candy Striper at the time but I did and I remember it being like a hundred bucks and thinking "that's way too much" well I wish I had jumped on one as I am sure many of us do. Your video makes me wish I was even half as talented as you are with an airbrush and well your whole process of zinc plating etc. Just awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Dude! You live on a plain far from my capabilities. Of course we would all love to see your second attempt. I cannot believe people are spending almost a grand for a hot wheels on ebay! There is not one die cast car anywhere that I think merits that outrageous price. Collectible or not. I love your painting & buffing stuff though. Masterful.
another great video - take your time, quality is amazing and so while I appreciate the frequency, the completeness and wonderful smooth editing is worth the time.
I really like what you did. It's not an impostor, and the quality of the finish is great. Is it just me, or is there a subtle tangerine undertone in the paint? Love the result. Thanks for sharing this.
Excellent work as usual. Definitely a yes vote for the second video on this car. Always a pleasure, can’t wait for the next video. Keep up the excellent work.
Absolutely stellar job, one could easily think this is the real 'Candy Striper' (minus the smaller details of course). Thanks for another great video and i'm really curious to see your new 3D-Printer in action!
Sweeeeeetness. You are a true master. I 2nd the motion that this is the best channel on RUclips. Looking forward to the second go round on the candy striped.
The original also had a blue mold of windows instead of the smokey clear molding you got from the other casting. Nice job still! A fake worthy of a spot in anyone's collection!
i love these videos so much, thank you for making them. i vote yes on another video improving on your process! also, cant wait to see your new toys that will increase the production value here. youre the only channel i know of that deserves all his subscribers (and more!)
Make another one if you want to but , you did a great job on this . Think about this . There are alot of rare hot wheels out there but , yours are one of a kind . I'd think in the future your cars may very well be worth much more than the rarest of the rare.
What do you use for a displaying cars? trying to find something. Great work bye the way love the honesty, pragmatism as well as the undoubted skill.wishing you all the best for 2019.
i found a damaged 1969 heavy chevy in my old toy box. it has no roof, so thats a lot of damage, and i thought that would be a cool custom car to see done. i thought of doing it myself but i figured you would have a much better go of making it look better than i could. best part is its got the sharpie that you love so much on it already . contact me and let me know if you're interested. would love to see it on the channel
Do the second video and compare the two cars to show that there are different ways of making your own candy striper. And I like what you do and keep doing it...
Very nice attempt at the "Striper" clone. Here are a few details of the real striper. I urge you to do another. With your skills it would be spectacular! I don't believe the paint is a pearl pink. It appears to be a spectra-flame pink to me. The "Hoosier" real riders on the rear have been used by Mattel in the 2018 Drag Strip Car Culture set (specifically the Comet Cyclone Gasser). The RLC Candy Striper has a silver roof, a,b,c pillars with silver trimming the base of all the glass, the roof is either white/neon-pink tampos or white/ neon red-orange tampos. The interior is chrome with white seats and neon red-orange inserts & blue glass. Radiator is flat black with a silver top, grill is also flat black. The base is metal polished chrome from Malaysia. G-codes for lower release numbers & H-codes for higher release numbers. It appears their were several different runs as the G-Codes have the more pink roof stripes & the H-Codes have the more orange roof stripes.
I’d love to see a second more accurate reproduction, I vote yes on a second video!
Agree
Yes he should do another one that’s a great car to the different designs on
Without a doubt: this is the best channel on RUclips. Never a video "for the views", always honost , even the flaws ( not fails ) are shown. You set the benchmark.

Greetings and a bow from the Netherlands.
hear, hear
Dilly, dilly!
Agreed. Diecast Resurrection is on par. Both of these guys are smart, witty and good at what they do.
Check my videos and my restorations, hehehehe
Great comment, so true
You need to make this a series Baremetal. Recreating RLC cars out of Mainlines
Speedy YES
Yes but most rlc castings are unique and not based on mainline castings therefore impossible to re-create using mainlines..
This is easily my favorite RUclips channel right now. I learn so much in every video about something I never knew I was interested in
Looks great even if it's not exact to the RLC release. 😀
Of all the toy car restorers, you are the most highly skilled. Your simple, gimmick free presentation style is the best. Thank you.

This is some of your finest work so far. The quality on this looks nearly spot on from the actual Candy Striper. Extremely well done work.
I really enjoyed this video. Very nice work 👍🏼 The car came out great even if it wasn’t perfect. 10/10
Hi I never thought I would see you in one of these videos
@@AudioWizard98 same bro
@@kohlgray2298 same i didnt realize he liked hot wheels
I vote yes! You should try making it into a series. Pretty excited with your new equipments too! Will wait for the next bell!
I wish theses videos were longer - I could watch a body be sanded, plated and painted for a good while. It’s like Bob Ross all over again.
I love this casting and you made it better. I am glad to see another video where you sand and improve the casting. Also great work on the finish polish instead of sanding the zinc. Didn't know these types of cars existed! Super cool to see a model converted to be like it's special release counter part!
This is the best 55 Chevy I've seen. The details are much better than original from Mattel. Every time I watch a video I see something better than the last one. Great Job!!
THANK YOU!! Love the time and hard work you put in. May your passion lead you to glory. Thank you again!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You did a great job, most people could not pick out a custom candy striper over the RLC if it was sitting in a collection of gassers
I dont collect cars but I really enjoy your videos. Great work.
Astonishing work! This is a great way to reproduce a very sought after car for much cheaper.
I'd definitely like to see a 2nd video on this.
Looks fantastic. Its little differences make it unique too.
Of course we’d like to see you try again! The more videos, the better! I still think you’re the Bob Ross of this type of content
Admirable that you admit you aren't comfortable doing certain skills/techniques. Most men think they know how to do everything.
Nice generalization.
I don't have a personal interest in doing what you do, but I'm always excited to watch a new video when it comes out. You never dissapoint and your craftsmanship and attention to detail is astonishing! Thanks for the content and keep it up!
the ol' "real job" syndrome. Even though not an exact match, the work you did on this is real nice.
Very kickass. Increasing your skill level, a resin 3D printer? Your cars are gonna start looking insane. Very kickass indeed. Awesome video, thank you always for sharing.
Looks super nice. I feel like the inverted color stripes give it a uniqueness.
Can't wait to see what you do in the future, you should definitely come back to this once you feel like you're ready to tackle it again!
That requires lots of talent and is very cool with all the details you put on the car
I like to see all the steps, such as stripping etc. I understand that it adds to the video, but I don't mind a longer video. I enjoy watching you work. Keep up the good work!
I think it is cool that it is a little different so it doesn't look like a counterfeit. Great work.
That pink is incredible. I don't mind if you ever repeat things you've already done in these videos, I just enjoy watching the process
Again great work , cool car , cool video . Mike Espo...
Great job. As always, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to future videos.
Yes love to see a 2nd attempt! Any video you post I'll watch amazing work.
Bud, your delivery could put me to sleep and that ain’t a bad thing
lol.... A lot of people contact me to say they play my videos to go to sleep at night... Glad I could help.
Looks fantastic! I would definitely dig seeing you do the next version with the white roof. Will literally watch any video you upload. So yeah sure do it again! It will be a joy to watch even for a second time.
Congratulations! You did a great job. I admire the way you do these things. Great solutions.
Masterful.
Yes! You got a resin 3D printer to print wheels! Can’t wait to see that! Love your videos-always learn something new from you 😎👍🏻
Nice job on the candy striper..looking forward to your future works..thanks for sharing.
I have a blue 55 and (2)57 Chevys, one red and one with stripped paint. With this gasser you gave me good ideas. Thank you. 👍
Yes, would definitely like to see you do another!
That was a fun video and a departure from your standard board of fare. I like it. A nice addition to your videos....
Quedó muy perfecto 👌 ese Bel Air Gasser Drag 55' 🏁
Try it again if that's what you want to do. Guaranteed we will enjoy watching. Thanks for another great video.
Lovely. I'd watch the redo, definitely
It still looks amazing you are extremely talented. I vote yes for a second car make over.
Awesome video. I love seeing all of your techniques!
another great video - take your time, quality is amazing and so while I appreciate the frequency, the completeness and wonderful smooth editing is worth the time.
what a beautiful job. yes, more please!
God dang I thought you got the real deal in the thumbnail! Just goes to show how good you are!
I really like what you did. It's not an impostor, and the quality of the finish is great. Is it just me, or is there a subtle tangerine undertone in the paint? Love the result. Thanks for sharing this.
Absolutely awesome job on this Gasser 55 Chevy Sir.
Car looks great and great video presentation, always look forward to the latest project!!!
Great stuff. I vote for a second video. And a Happy New Year to you.
I like it better than the other 20,000 RLCs. And, you got that coveted number 00001! Nice work!
Beautiful incredibly hard to tell an authentic one from the custom one
I always love seeing someone reproduce hard to find figures/collectables so this is a pretty nice vid!
What an awesome job you did. Seriously, just beautiful!
Paint job looks awesome
That pink looks insaaaaane! Really cool!
I would be super excited to see a 'remastered' candy striper you mentioned in the video!
Try it again, Sam! 😆
I just love watching your work.
Sensational job on this piece!
Man you do great work, ive learned so much off of your vids thank you very much for showing us how you work magic with these cars.
Beautiful job, the car looks great. I know that when you decide to take another shot it will be even better. Looking forward to your next video.
Awesome job, I think yours looks better than the original.
It may not be an exact copy of the RLC car but its really cool. I'd love to see you try another version. Can't wait to see what you have coming!
No complaints here friend.
I love your work. The car looks amazing.
I don't know why but ur Videos are so relaxing to me
Sweeeeeetness. You are a true master. I 2nd the motion that this is the best channel on RUclips. Looking forward to the second go round on the candy striped.
Absolutely beautiful job.
very nice, and thanks for sharing your tips, gives the RLC car more cudos to all the effort you need to go through
Simply,
The most 'perfect' video I have seen on the net today.
Great job sir.
I'm excited to see what the 3D printer will allow you to do especially on some of the custom cars you make like MadMax and such.
The original also had a blue mold of windows instead of the smokey clear molding you got from the other casting. Nice job still! A fake worthy of a spot in anyone's collection!
Well done, Zack. Cheers from Vancouver BC Canada 🍻
Great video , good luck with the new equipment you're getting.
Brilliant work! I like to see all your videos regardless of the subject. Thanks for sharing your skills.
i love these videos so much, thank you for making them. i vote yes on another video improving on your process! also, cant wait to see your new toys that will increase the production value here. youre the only channel i know of that deserves all his subscribers (and more!)
That's pretty awesome. I think this is one of my favorite cars you have done.
Awesome, that looks really good, I cant wait for the next custom
Make another one if you want to but , you did a great job on this . Think about this . There are alot of rare hot wheels out there but , yours are one of a kind . I'd think in the future your cars may very well be worth much more than the rarest of the rare.
Awsume job! i had already planned on trying this build, & am Sure now i've seen yours! thanks!
Dude, that is sick! You nailed it.
I sure enjoy watching your video's.

Stunning transformation
