You should read this trilogy. Basically it is what should have happened instead of Alien 3. The Complete Aliens Omnibus: Volume One (Earth Hive, Nightmare Asylum, The Female War). They changed the names to Wilks as Hicks, and Billie is Newt.
Wonderfully put together, thank you! I play video games but run RPGs much more these days and this was a nice piece to watch and catch a couple pieces of lore.
Loved this game. The base game... not so much. But I went in without expecting anything and man this was great. Lizabeth's episode was well done and her voice acting was amazing. Also, the editing here (as usual) was perfect. The chestburster and then cut back to Stone's POV? perfect! Well done as always!
What irked me the most about this game ( got it the day it launched ) was the fact that they made the M41A Pulse Rifle so damn weak, I mean according to Gorman, it shot standard caseless light armor piercing rounds, which means it would've shredded the Xenos, not tickle them as it did in the game
I love how all the characters just start using these computer consoles and get deeply involved in them without a care of what could be creeping up behind them!
I would prefer they do a remaster of AvP2......and primal hunt, i loved that game and expansion pack, they were awesome....imagine them in Unreal 5 engine. ;-)

Can we get a real-time multi player game FPS based on the Aliens, Marines, Predators already? Think Destiny but based on our favorite franchises but where you get select your species and you can direct their development, proficiency, weapon load out and customization equipped with added kill streak upgrades. Theyre slowly getting it right, alot of fans needed something like Fireteam Elite and i love it, but I also love the 1st person of AVP gold edition, that had a good multiplayer option but still, so much potential. I like Predator Hunting Grounds too but its just a “hunting” style, not campaign. I want multiple Predators as friends killing multiple aliens or marines, or vice versa, or whatever, lol
though what i dont like in this lore, is that they basically make the aliens movie rescue and the nuke irrelevant, when the hole place seems to be intact.
The Alien 3 cryotubes look vastly different from where they originated from in Aliens. They're accurate in Colonial Marines because they look like the ones in Aliens.
I've been disconnected from Aliens CM since it's bad released and had no interest in the DLC, came here after seeing the incredible job DeeALup made in other videos. Now, watching the first minutes of this DLC makes me think it kinda inspired Creative Assembly to make Alien Isolation?
Nah, his death in Alien 3 was fine. It made the bleakness of the film that much more powerful and has let the film age even better as time has passed. It’s a story. Characters can change and die in stories.

In the original movies, there isn't a single instance of a mature xenomorph being destroyed by fire. It's unclear whether they can even be deterred that way.
@@silent_stalker3687 That's not what happened. Watch it again: what happens is the xenomorph is forced to let go of the pod and/or pushed away when Ripley turns on the pod's thruster. The xenomorph was *not* destroyed. In fact, it's not clear it was even injured. You can see the last scene for free here on YT.

to be honest I always liked these games because after a while with racing games and sport games they become a bit boring even when replaying the sports games. at times with this type of games it still holds up going back and playing them
The Aliens still look and move like shit. But! They ARE using their surroundings. Not to mention, I like the way they redconed what happened between alien 2 and 3. The story and, the characters are likeable. This IS the game we should’ve got back in 2013. Too bad it’s a too little too late.
This game looks and feels awful for 2013 as graphics and gameplay comparing it to the AvP Reboot from 2010 that was amazing. Major failure by Gearbox Software. Rebellion (AvP 2010 and Sniper Elite series) are much better company. Huge disapointment for Alien fans.
Yeah, that's because Gearbox consistently and repeatedly channeled money, resources, and developer attention away from this and into the Borderlands games (including a lot that they'd gotten FOR this). In the end they entirely outsourced ACM's development to Timegate IIRC.
Better than Alien 3 ( semi ok now and then ), 4, AvP 1 & 2... Prometheus was " ok ", Alien Covenant sucked. It is tragic when games have so much better " movies " than the actual movies. And... thank god for that!
No. Not at all. It's absolutely contrived. That is if we're talking the Alien 3 director's cut, which though brutal to the characters of Aliens, is also very coherent and suitably dark for the alien universe. This however reads like a children's fanfic.

Burke contacts the W-Y company to confirm the existence of the Xenos and they send in a Paramilitary and hijack a colony ship to utilize as hosts, which eventually leads up to the Colonial Marines battling Xenos and Corporate greed PMCs. I feel like this woulda been better off as a movie or tv show rather than a video game, if only the developers places their heart and soul into it - then it woulda been an amazing game.

Если считать это дополнение, как продолжение 2й части, то круто. Но есть нестыковка по поводу выброски спасательной капсулы на fury 161 и появлением Хикса, который видел смерть Рипли. Рипли провела на Fury неделю. По дополнению - пару часов....

to be honest I always liked these games because after a while with racing games and sport games they become a bit boring even when replaying the sports games. at times with this type of games it still holds up going back and playing them

Because it's DLC for Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Basically the main game sucked and was super bug ridden. This DLC was closer to AVP2 and therefor better.
The Aliens still look and move like shit. But! They ARE using their surroundings. Not to mention, I like the way they redconed what happened between alien 2 and 3.
The story and, the characters are likeable. This IS the game we should’ve got back in 2013. Too bad it’s a too little too late.
oddly, the fix to this bug is a spelling error, and easily fixed.
There's a complete overhaul patch for the game that is highly recommended.
Not to mention the way it is here....

This game looks and feels awful for 2013 as graphics and gameplay comparing it to the AvP Reboot from 2010 that was amazing. Major failure by Gearbox Software. Rebellion (AvP 2010 and Sniper Elite series) are much better company. Huge disapointment for Alien fans.
Yeah, that's because Gearbox consistently and repeatedly channeled money, resources, and developer attention away from this and into the Borderlands games (including a lot that they'd gotten FOR this). In the end they entirely outsourced ACM's development to Timegate IIRC.

Better than Alien 3 ( semi ok now and then ), 4, AvP 1 & 2... Prometheus was " ok ", Alien Covenant sucked.

No. Not at all. It's absolutely contrived. That is if we're talking the Alien 3 director's cut, which though brutal to the characters of Aliens, is also very coherent and suitably dark for the alien universe. This however reads like a children's fanfic.
I came to the recent conclusion that ALIENS: Dark Descent is what ALIEN 3 should have been.

Burke contacts the W-Y company to confirm the existence of the Xenos and they send in a Paramilitary and hijack a colony ship to utilize as hosts, which eventually leads up to the Colonial Marines battling Xenos and Corporate greed PMCs. I feel like this woulda been better off as a movie or tv show rather than a video game, if only the developers places their heart and soul into it - then it woulda been an amazing game.
