I started my window cleaning firm becouse of this man...... You really need to see his vids if its something you want todo. I live in TN USA from Leicester and down earn great money JUST becouse of him... Its really the place to be if you want to work for your self. Cant thank you enough.
The sill? You can use something like the maykker handy sleeve with a cloth over it as the tool to wipe the sill and you will need an angle adaptor on your pole so you can angle the tool forward.
Very much obliged to you for sharing your knowledge. I am looking at waterfed poles to clean my first floor windows above a conservatory. I have a window cleaner - he just appeared one day, not long after I moved in - but he only cleans from a ladder and does not clean the windows he cannot access. I can reach them from inside, but it does involve a lot of furniture moving and vertical blind action. Anyway, I'm glad I spotted your channel. I'll have a wee shifty to see your pole recommendations.
Bought the equipment and watched your video instructions twice. Then I did 4 big windows inside and out. Worked perfectly. Used Dawn soap and man does that stuff clean windows. No more Windex. Thank you for the instructions.
It's not good thou as you can easily wet the cleaned window with "just absorbed wetness" from the window seal or the wall etc... Using the pole for domestic for edges i do not recommend.
@@thepolacoxxlThat's an easy fix as well. Lay a cloth flat across your squeegee before you squeegee the glass and dry the frame. I do it all the time. :-)
Great video 👍🏼 quick question, when you decided to start window cleaning were you busy right from the start or did it take you some time to be full time. I started a few months ago an have had trouble getting my customers for route work
Good info although what you did not explain is if you are using a long pole working from the ground, how do you detail? Obviously, it won't be with your finger in a microfibre cloth. Sticking the cloth on the pole will be difficult. Also, none of the fanning techniques will be possible with a long-reach pole if using a fixed squeegee. The more tricky skill would be required with a swivel squeegee. I point all this out because you started the video stating this is for using a pole and the only reason you are using a short pole here is for demonstration purposes. You explain everything else well, so maybe another video to explain the points I mentioned would be good.
When you're holding the bottom of the pole near the top of the window (demonstrating your sevens technique), I have to wonder if you really needed a pole :)
I am demonstrating basic techniques with professional standard tools, aimed at beginners, home owners and professional businesses. Liquidators are not for everyone 😉
I love how he uses the pole to squeegee the window because it’s too high to reach, but then when it comes to detailing the window he has suddenly grown a bit and can now reach the top corner with his fingers 😂😂😂
🤣🤣😉 Problem with the precision tools is there are many people that don't like it or use it. So I teach how to use standard and precision tools with the goal of catering to all skill levels and preferences 👍🏻
For quite some time I have been teaching how to use a precision tool which requires a certain way of working. Going forward I will also be teaching standard tools for those that don't like the moerman squeegee or don't have the time needed to learn it and need a more basic tool that will be more forgiving.

Thats fantastic to hear your doing well and I'm really glad the videos have been useful for you. Keep up the great work and keep squeegee sling'n 😉
how did you scale?
I am a tiny woman, intimidated by window cleaning... Thx for the very clear tutorial. Love the accent and humour (Swiss who loves the UK)!
Great demo! What is the best way to detail underneath the window with the pole when you can't reach the area by hand?

@@TradManthank you ! I was a bit disappointed to not be able to find it on Amazon but located it elsewhere.

Great suggestions and demonstrations. Thanks.
I can't wait to try this on my folks' windows! Thank you so much. A really great tutorial!!
Do u have a video showing how to clean small square windows high up with a pole. I mean the windows that’s have lead squares
I would wfp that to be honest buddy

Great news!!
Did you mix anything with the dawn?
@@CLifemusic No I used it straight out of the bottle. Applied it just as Trad-Man showed us in his video onto a squeezed out Unger Micro Fiber.
Thanks for all the truly valuable content....!🙂
Very welcome
If the widnow is high enough to have to use a pole, how do you detail with a cloth?
Wrap the cloth over the tip
I'm confused, how do you detail with a cloth when you've used a pole to get to the window?
It's in the video 😊
You put a cloth on the pole

In respect of that cloth in the video he corners go over the edge of the squeegee and it reattaches to the pole 😊

Fantastic video and I’ve watched many!!
Fantastic 👍🏻
how do you detail with the pole when you cant reach by hand
That’s the same question I’m looking to be answered
Awesome video mate
Just curious.... why do you prefer to put the dish detergent along the applicator?
Solution has more slip that way 👍🏻
How does the solution run UP the squeegie?
Really ?
Awsome demo great lad
😁👍🏻
Thank you for the video.
Starting out here in Australia these videos are great, cheers.
😁👍🏻
you still at it Arthas?
@@charliegreen3426 hey I sure am. These videos helped me out at the start. Found my groove with it all. Took some time, but really enjoying it.
Is the feathering mostly to wet the rubber?
Why a microfiber cloth? Why not a regular rag?
Ty for the great video
Feathering is to create a dry section at the top before the pull down. Microfiber cloths don't leave fibres behind like regular cloths do.
Can you do the 7s technique by hand also? Would it be ideal or is it better to fan?
The 7s technique is really used for pole work. Fanning is generally the in hand technique. Although I fan on a pole to for better results.
Could I use the first technique on a pitched conservatory roof (internal)? Been asked to do a quote but never done an internal before.
Yes just remember to detail the top where you start 😉
Amazing training
Very great video
Thanks kindly ☺️
Has the weather been that bad you are stuck in the shed 🤣Great intro to squeegee vid.
Haha you know me I'll work through most weathers 😉

It took a couple of years to really get going. I started with nothing. I didn't buy work either, just knocked on doors with fliers.
@@TradMan thank you

Thanks kindly
Not everyone likes the moerman tool or the methods needed to use it.
Thanks for commenting 😉
Why not just use a small a-ladder?
Mhmmm... If you need to use a pole, normally you can't do the detailing with the cloth, right? 😅
Edit: looks like you saved the day at the end of it 😂
Did you comment before you watched it all lol! To be fair your right I should of mentioned the detailing using the pole a bit earlier 😅👍🏻
