    Guessing the 1160 will be gone when production of these ramps up. Hoping for: 1200 (1190 replacement) based on this, 1260 replaced with brand new 1270 - a mini 1370, 1300 based on new 1270 but with daggers. Oh man a 42.5' dagger boat with the 1370's layout would be the bee's knees. 👌

    Love it! The Seawind line is amazing, and their build quality is astounding. Incredible value for the price.

    Just bought a summer house in kusadasi Izmir, so when i retire in a few years looks like i will need a seawind and say good bye to crappy melbourne weather !!

    Looks nice, but boy has she become fat. Almost plus 3t (this is more than 40% additional weight) while keeping the same sail area and LWL, I can't see how performance won't take a serious hit compared to the old 1160. There is just no way that some clever hull design can defy this math. Just wish Seawind would have stood up for their founding values of trying to keep things lite. But unfortunately they have bend to the masses cravings for new shiny objects.😥

      They could save 20%+by using basalt and hemp or Flax composite.. and its cheaper greener and uses far less water and CO2 to produce ...its also a lot tougher.
      In fact done right that mix is 20% lighter than conventional carbon .

      You don’t know what you’re talking about :) same weight. greater sail area, perfect hull design ... She sails way faster

      @nicopeursum8208 Год назад +1

      @@antoine_richerif you look at the specs on the website it says 9.2 tons. That is indeed 40% above the 1160 and even a ton heavier than the 1260. What is the cause? More interior liners, probabaly. It is quite a bit. Or is this design displacement, allowing for more stuff to be carried ....

    • @antoine_richer
      @antoine_richer Год назад

      it is not 40% heavier because the 1160 specs have not been updated to the actual real weight, the weight has slightly increased yes but the sail area is similar to the 1190 Sport and the hull design are not match to the old design. Therefore you find better sea capability, comfort and speed@@nicopeursum8208

    Like #7, Comment #1 Hope the price is not eye watering in USD. The Cabins are bigger than the 1260 I think from the nice movie.
