This all makes so much sense. And also explains why I'm in pain. I'm a School bus driver, my seat only adjusts forward and backward (closer and farther from the pedals), and the angle of the backrest. That's it. Also the steering wheel has a little adjustment up and down but doesn't tilt. This seems to be resulting in neck shoulder, upper and lower back pain 😔.
I love my job and we are always low on drivers, any suggestions on how I can modify or make adjustments with a crappy cheap seat?

tough question, dear... seats are the most difficult thing to DIY. But here are maybe 2 videos that can be food for thoughts:
      - this one is on the relevance of seat cushions: ruclips.net/video/sJLUWTLQwNI/видео.html
      - this one is on what to do during and after your drives to reset your body: ruclips.net/video/293iH_0fwps/видео.html
      I hope this helps!!

What’s the best way to sit so you don’t get as sore from pressing the breaks

Merci beaucoup Olivier, been driving city bus for three decades and must say your instructions very clear and concise, shoulders, hips and back pain seem to come with the job,my question to you is,would you recommend using lower back cushion to increase lower lumbar curve?

You're most welcome my friend (from Canada :)?). Your question is a great one.
Your goals shouldn't be to increase the lumbar curve, but just to support the pelvis. Have a look a this video to understand why a hollow back isn't great: ruclips.net/video/4PVI9cnMJo8/видео.html. Hence, the placement of a lumbar support is discussed here: ruclips.net/video/eXMLHrOsZrk/видео.html (the video is for an office chair but the principle is the same for a bus seat).
Furthermore, you don't want a too thick cushion when you drive: if you have an accident, the backrest is here to prevent hyper-extension of your spine (i.e. whiplash injury). I know that a bus is so big that the risk is limited, but still....
