Was there yesterday, it's a beautiful place. Didn't go in the water park as no kids with us and they wanted $74 for the day. We couldn't book a cabana as they were fully booked - I'm glad I didn't pay for one, sun beds were plentiful and free. Food was good. Overall a fab day!
Had a fun time there. Don’t need to spend an extra $175 on their water park. Just swim in the beautiful water and go walk on the sand bar. Saw a puffer fish, a shark, sting ray, and a lot of other fishes so please watch out
The restrooms at Coco Cay are very tropical. Great for enhanced pooping.

Just went last week....the tram picked me up right after I stepped off the ship and then a second tram took me around....there are also wheelchairs for easy movement on sand....I had a great day
Was here 9 times before they ruined it. I absolutely LOVED Coco Cay! It was my paradise! Quiet, relaxing, no kids screaming, hammocks everywhere, snorkeling out to the sunken plane, wild iguanas all over, a few shops, excellent food, Coco Loco's (best drink), and ONLY the people from our boat. You couldn't pay me to go there now. Such a shame they had to turn such a beautiful island into the Wisconsin Dells of the Sea.
We LOOOOOVED our day at CocoCay! However, they forgot one VEEEERY important thing. There are no foot washing stations near the walkway to get rid of sand. Take a water bottle with you so you can rinse the sand away at the path and you’re not unintentionally exfoliating your feet as you walk back to the ship!
My husband and I loved Perfect Day. We were there June 5th. Our first visit was five years ago. We loved the improvements. We saw either a small sand or reef shark.

Our ship was the first ship there after the renovations. They were still working out the kinks, zip line at your own risk. There was not a platform, they were taking people off the zip line with a ladder. The food was regular bbq food, and salad bars. The beaches on chill island were beautiful. There is market like every other port, selling over priced items. The waterpark is $$$$.

William Grant you Pay extra for the extra activities they provide on the island... you can get in with your cruise visit and do all of the activities that are included. This was mentioned in the video.

Hope you have a high tolerance, or you’re gonna be passed out quickly!! LOL
They need to improve the lines for the slides. The big one (daredevils peak) took about 45 minutes to go on. The tube ride areas need work as well, they had one staircase servicing 3 different slides. So people would stand in line for one not realizing they didn't have to wait(the race slides with the mats). Or you had people running up to the top only to come back down realizing the line was way back or more infuriating, those people just being let on ahead of you(the pink tube one that has the automatic lift for the tubes).
I was there today. Back on Symphony now headed back to Miami. It is a great day for sure, so beautiful. Tons to do.

I've been watching your channel for years now and always find helpful tips, even though my first ever cruise isn't until next year (it was going to be with Carnival, now Royal is my first, and Carnival is after :D) ! I found valuable information in this video that I haven't ANYWHERE ELSE and I watch literally every major and "minor" RUclipsr when it comes to cruising. Hubby and I have cruises several times. We don’t think the private islands are worth it. Everything should be complimentary. He usually just stay on the boat when docked at the private islands

One more :) .... Get your towels from the pool deck. We waited to get ours by debarkation on deck 1. My mind nearly exploded by the number of PAX who couldn't grasp the concept of how to get or how many you can get. I had no idea that would, or even could, be a thing. 15 minutes for towels vs. 15 seconds to get off the ship.

Hi Matt. I heard you couldn’t prebook the hot air ballon anymore due to too many cancellations due to windy conditions. Can you clarify? You mentioned in the video it was available to purchase in the cruise planner online before the cruise.
I don't know if you have gotten your answer yet. I tried to book a few weeks ago and it would not let me. However on Thursday I went on to find another excursion and the hot air balloon was there again and available. I was able to book it. Our cruise is in a few months.
can you buy half-day passes for the water park? I only see full-day passes right now in the cruise planner (cruising Feb 2020)
There is soo much fun free stuff to do, that we didn't even make it around the whole island. The the restaurants were free. Had a band play outside once we were back on board. Can't wait to go back. If you pay it's for the excursions just like every other port or the water slides at the park.

You indicated the umbrellas are now complimentary, thats a good thing, RCCL was charging $30 before the remodel and making You lower them if it starts to rain. Captain's Table MDR I was excited about this change when I was there 2-weeks ago. I was able to relax and drink more too.
Why do you have to lower them for rain?
@@ThatGirlJD Their reason was with rain comes wind, and the wind will pick them up and shoot them around like little missiles into other guests.

I’m seeing a lot of negative comments. But I had a blast at coccoa cay and I didn’t pay a dime extra. The pool bar was awesome. The water around the island was beautiful. There’s a floating bar at one of the beaches that was really cool. Beach volleyball was fun. I brought my own personal football to throw which was fun. The food was pretty good, not great but better than expected. We also played corn hole. It’s also just fun to sit on the beach by the water and take it all in. Coccoa cay was a blast and there’s plenty to do with out spending money. If it was all inclusive the price of the cruise would be higher and then some people wouldn’t be able to afford to go.

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring drones on their cruise for use on land only and outside of the port area. However, drones are not to be operated onboard the ship at any time, nor on Royal Caribbean’s private destinations: Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas or Labadee, Haiti.
I thoroughly tested both the unlimited alcohol and voom packages at Perfect Day last weekend. Both worked well :)

Let me just start with this, island was awesome, we had drink package, wi-fi package and the key program. We were one of the first to get off Harmony of the seas, our 3 teenage boys were with us with the water park package. The first slide and only slide they road took a little over an hour. The second slide they went to was almost a 2 hour wait we had 6500 + passengers on HOTS, we know they were still working on handling a big ship. Like I stated, it’s a Great place to visit, but I hope the wait times improve. Thanks

In my opinion the waterpark is insanely cool and totally worth it especially if you have kids. The lines get pretty long though especially for the daredevils tower(the tallest one) and the tube ones. I would suggest being the first ones off the boat and to the waterpark there are basically no lines and you can get through them fast.
What coffee options are available on Coco Cay? Is it just coffee from a carafe or are espresso/latte/cappuccino drinks available on the island?
As of right now, there is no coffee available at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

My advice is skip the bidding for an upgrade and tell your travel agent to quote you how much more to move up to a higher category room. It's the simplest and most straight forward way to upgrade.

I was there a few months ago and all the food was amazing! Except all the excursions were canceled due to weather. But there was still plenty of things to do!! The entire island was under construction when we went so the waterpark wasn’t open. But that just gives another reason to return! Perfect Day at Coco Cay was the best!!

Beautiful island. Haven’t been there since the renovation though.
My cruise planner is showing $77Cdn for a full day pass. I've talked with others who say the price depends on your ship and your cruise. How logical is that? They paid more like $50. Why is there no half day pass? I can go to Calypso Water Park for $50 + parking. And there's way more there. We were looking forward to this day but not unless it comes on sale even more.

Yes, i would, if you got the drink package, you will have cups for you to use in your cabin when you are able to get into your room. Take them and fill them up as needed. They even have a handle for easy carrying

Can you please do a video on how accessible is Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas is for a powered Wheelchair user as myself?
I just got off the Symphony on Saturday and it seemed fairly accessible for powered and manual wheel chairs. I'm pretty sure they provide the chairs and they have ones with large tires for the sand on coco kay. There are 4 elavator areas, 2 on each side of the ship that go to every floor. Each area has 6 elavators for a total of 24 on the ship. It can get pretty crowded however with over 6000 people on board. I hope this answers some of your questions and I'm sorry if there is anything I left out.

Does the zip line end in the sea? I'd do it but I can't swim so wouldn't book if that's the case. It could do with some non-water-based rides too!
It does not end at the sea. The zip line ends on a platform.
I went May 17 and it was a blast. This was the first time the crew of the Symphony of the Seas had a chance to see the new improvements on the island. They were so excited.
We also rented a Thrill Waterpark Cabana which included tickets to the Thrill Waterpark slides. Our cabana attendant took orders for our food and delivered it to the cabana and kept our water cooler fully stocked. We were in cabana number 13, right on the side of the water slides.. perfect spot. The only regret we had was not reserving the zip line ahead of the trip. It was sold out once we arrived so we missed the opportunity.
Otherwise we can’t wait to go back next year. By the way the lines are long on some slides but oh so worth it😊
I don’t know if you saw the restrooms but if you didn’t get to see them you missed out on some beautiful tropical toilets that would be great for enhanced pooping.

Absolute Nutrition Center , the staff was not helpful. Only tried to up sell everything. Had to get our own drinks, and the food was ok. Totally overpriced. It’s totally not inclusive and add another 1000.00 for 2 people to what you already spent.
We will go back to carnival. We could have had 2 cruises for the price we paid for this one and still have money in our pocket.

Francesca Curd yes anyone can ride it after you have to walk the length of the pier in blazing sun, but as I posted it would be nice if ran down to the ships gangway foe people that have a mobility problem but don’t require a wheelchair.
Bill Van Raam it literally took me all the way from the sign as you enter the island all the way back to the ship. I have a right bad knee so I’m not sure how much further you want it to take you.
Francesca Curd on the day I was there we were told the shuttle did not run on the pier and indeed it did not. Hopefully things have changed to your experience not mine.

I'm going on to Perfect Day in July on Harmony. Perplexed as to why it says that the cabanas are only bookable on-board however the prices keep going up!? Also, I can now book a jet ski driver but no passenger. I think their online system is messed up.
Wendy&Donner I called the cruise line and was told that if it says only available on the ship, then it is sold out. If there are cancellations, then you can book on the ship.

Since it is Royal Caribbean's private island, you shouldn't have to pay FOR ONE DAMN THING while on the island. What a rip off!!
Food, included in the cost of your cruise Drinks, what ever your already purchased. Entertainment items, part of what you PAID for with the cruise!!
He just said that your drink packages work on the island and the food is included.
AND be mindful, the water park can only hold 1200 people, so if you DON'T buy a ticket to the waterpark, you will only be able to stay on the left side of the island. ALSO you need your sea pass card, not the wrist band. So make sure you bring your CARD! I was TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED because I had called several days to make sure there was NOTHING ELSE i needed to purchase, and due to the language barriers when you call, this was never explained to me, and THIS video did not exist before i left. 😡 the trams need a driving path because the driver kept having to slam on breaks to keep from hitting people! READ THE FINE PRINT, it will mess you up

Wow, I tried to see the charges for on-ship charges before I booked, but none of this information was available BEFORE you book. Never book with RCL, where a 7 day cruise in a balcony cabin is MORE expensive than a MSC Yacht Club all inclusive cruise

We took cruise which included cococay but it turned into a sea day because the conditions were too rough for the little boats that were going to transport us to the island with the renovations is there still a chance this could happen?
Royal Caribbean added a new dock that will make the chances of not making Perfect Day significantly less.

Sasha Taylor Even on NCL ships they pronounce Cay just like he did. Their private islands all have Cay it is also. So know I’m wondering who is pronouncing it right. I can’t see the cruise ships pronouncing wrong.
@@renee304 hi...well because I was born and raised in The Bahamas and it is one of our "keys" that they bought from our govt, I and every Bahamian would pronounce it as "key". But if they, the ppl that do not live in this country, want to pronounce it as Cay then so be it, no love lost
