      a major part of his style is how he postures in between stuff, kevins kinda got his butt pointed out and his arms real stiff in front of him he doesnt look relaxed in the park, tj relaxes alot in between just lets his hands at his sides and so on thats part of it. no hate or anything just an observation

    Kevvvv - your riding is looking super slick this season!
    I just recently hit my first runs here on the East - and I started incorporating a lower riding style, and a more silky turn initiation to add some style to my carves. I'm thinking "surf" the entire way.

    Hi Kevin
    I've been watching ur videos for quite some time now and they are great! and helpful! but i can't help noticing that ur knees tend to bend inwards when u ride. Idk if its on purpose or anything, but in my opinion it looks a bit awkward. Im not mentioning this to be rude or anything, but maybe just as a tip if it helps improving ur overall style. (i've been watching ur videos to try become a better rider and improve my own style, it helps alot, thanks!) If u watch this video from 3:54 - 3:57 u can see that ur knees almost collide.
    In comparison u can try to watch TJ do his stuff, and look at his knee positioning. Im not trying to compare the two of u to see if anyone is better or anything.

    TJ try staying more compact in the air on your 3's you'll spin more efficiently

    • @lealicus2047
      @lealicus2047 6 лет назад

      DnBQemist he doesn't care about fast spinning fast for 3's . he is compact because of his style

    • @DnBQemist
      @DnBQemist 6 лет назад

      I never said anything about spinning faster. More stylish staying compact vs tall and wild in the air

    • @Whysssiee
      @Whysssiee 6 лет назад

      I feel like the purpose of him hanging his legs is to delay the spin? I mean it seems easier to counter rotate with a straighter body than it is being hunched over and pulling your knees up right? I do the same thing when I leave my spins out to dry.

    • @DnBQemist
      @DnBQemist 6 лет назад

      Purely style preference. I think it looks much better being compact in the air vs flopping around. Hence why big air comps are awarded more points for holding grabs longer

    Hey Guys, *i have a Huge Problem with my Riding and/or my Board.*
    I have a 2014/2015 Team Nitro Chamber Flex 7. I started riding last Season with this Board, but i have huge problems on flats or narrow terrain. I also have a lot of Foot pain. but Thats maybe related to the bad habits i used to do while Boarding.
    The BIG Question is: Is it may helpfull to switch to a more beginner friendly Board with a lower Flex and a Flat Chamber or even Zero Catchfree? Since my Board really like to catch an Edge and on flat runs its hard for me to keep my speed cause i need to go so hard on an Edge that it doesnt bites. Thats the most Painfull Part of my Foothurt...
    Kev or anybody else in the Comment section i hope you can help me.
    I think about a Salomon Pulse M 2016. I need arround 162W since im arround 100kg and 180cm. But i dont know if a Board with Flex 3 or 4 is hard enough for my Bodyweight.
    My Nitro is so stiff.. i cant even lift one foot easly.
    My Goal is to ride smoothly on Piste and may get some beginner flat trick going. No Pipe and just some Casual Powder witch is laying arround but not that much of it.
    If i can start riding more easly with less Footpain and a more fun Board - screw you Powder. Atleast for the next few Seasons.
    I whould really apprieciate your help. Thanks a lot !!!!

    • @buttersnow
      @buttersnow 6 лет назад +1

      FynnFTW hey man, a classic camber profile board with a stiff flex is the worst for flats, especially if you can't maintain speed it's harder to keep an edge locked in. For the riding: Try to lift your back foot a little bit when you change the edge and practice to make s-curves as small as possible. Avoid any forced movements. For the board: You can detune the edges with a file towards the nose and tail of your board, it can make a big difference to avoid catching an edge. If it doesn't help enough, buy a new board.. go for a rocker profile... (if you still like some camber try a hybrid rocker shape with early rise in the tips), flex-wise I'd say it should be max. 5 out of 10 and get the shortest length possible what the manufacturer size table is saying is suitable for your weight (unless you want to ride lots of powder then you should get bit more length). The shorter the board the easier to turn and the less likely that you catch an edge. Hope that helps, happy shredding!

    • @FynnFTW
      @FynnFTW 6 лет назад

      cheers man. The thing is i have FootSize 46 EU. Means 11UK. I have a XL Binding and i really need a Wide Board.
      But Cheers man. I really think about changing my Board right away. But i dont know which one. What you think about Zero in the Middle and Rocker to the Nose? Like "Völkl" or "Volkl" have on there Steaze?
      Or just something like the Salomon Pulse or K2 Standart Wide. I not quit sure and i dont want to buy the wrong board again.

    • @buttersnow
      @buttersnow 6 лет назад +1

      FynnFTW I see.. definitely get a wide board then.. the rocker profile of the k2 standard wide would definitely be way more fun I guess and provide a more relaxed ride. As long you don't have icy conditions, pure rocker should suit you better then flat camber I assume .. all boards you suggested will for sure make it more enjoyable than riding your current board .. just check the specs carefully and select the right size. Also pair it up with a comfortable binding.. The more you can ride relaxed the more the foot pain should get away.. additionally, check your boots if they are snug fit and give good heel support but are still comfortable ..
      Personally I can recommend you the never summer funslinger .. it has camber rocker and is almost catch free.. you could also just hire some boards and try out different profiles before you buy a new one. Good luck!

    • @FynnFTW
      @FynnFTW 6 лет назад +1

      I have Nitro Vagabond TLS Boots and Flow Five Bindings. Overall i guess those are pretty good.
      The Flow Five are actually brand new and i didnt had the time to try them. The Boots are good, but i also have "problematic feet". I guess i have to deal atleast with THAT.
      I only ride in Germany/Austria. Sometimes it can be icy, sometimes not. Really depends on the weather. However, i dont want a board which is really problematic at Ice.
      The thing is in Germany/Austria Snowboarding isnt that big. You dont have much stores which sell them and also you just cant rent them. I mean you can rent a Snowboard for sure - but not specific brand or the exact snowboard you wanna try.
      That only works with Ski here.
      I guess ill try some very cheap board from my buddy which started riding with me. Its a "firefly" however, its a Hybrid Rocker. So i atleast get a feeling for that. But i guess i should really only go for those catchfree Boards and not just for some Hybrid Rocker.
      And i really hope that i get less footpain with a more relaxed ride. Thats why i think about changing right away instead of trying the board of my friend. I guess i should really try that first.
      Tbh, not everything is bad with my Nitro Board. Carving is much fun and it responds very quickly. Isnt really that forgiving tho. Good on Ice aswell, but yea, i dont ride tripple black stuff. Im have much fun on Blue and Red Lines and wanna get some flat tricks going. Thats my goal. If it gets a bit steeper, sure ill take it. But i guess i chould ride that black runs also with one of those boards and they dont punish me as fast as my Nitro.
      Dude, Thank you very much. If you have something to add or give a final advice i whould appreciate it.
      Thanks anyway. You helped me a lot.

    • @buttersnow
      @buttersnow 6 лет назад +1

      FynnFTW Yes, good idea .. try out the board of your buddy! Maybe the hybrid profile will work for you catch free and there is no need for rocker. I am sure you will find out. Glad I could help you out a bit.

    style is a biproduct of board control and any effort to fake it intentionally before perfecting the base of the trick is counter productive imo. The board should lift up to your hand as a biproduct of the jump angle and stay compact through the rotations. The momentum of the rotations should be generated before entering the air and should be consistant throughout the rotation not needing to decrease or force around the trick to land correctly. Most tricks and spins are bein done rather straight legged so it looks like the board is being reached down to and the knees arent comming up with the jumps lift. These things are almost better corrected on a trampoline rather than the park but either works. Just imo.. since you are teaching people.
