good video! can you do a control test trial without the signal booster so we can compare the distance it travels? also fly the same path at around the same time
Just purchased my Yagi on Amazon! I get about a mile and a quarter as well in range on my dji mini 2. Fort Lauderdale is a lil more congested than where you were shooting from, overly excited 😜 to test it out. Your video was very helpful. Thanks for creating great content ✌🏾💯
The batteries are probably draining quick because of how cold it is. Pushing the limits of range and your line of sight in the cold isn't smart. Batteries can drain much faster than you or your drone expects. It and you might think it can come home, but run out of juice half way. I would agree with your basic assessment that actually this is fairly low risk place to be flying but doing silly things in the cold really isn't smart, it's a recipe for a lost drone at best and a drone through someone's windshield and a crash at the other end. Being a Karen is sometimes just good airmanship.
Weird how your return home is a good bit worse than mine on my mini SE even though yours is a superior drone... I just got into this hobby but I'm looking forward to the billions of things I need to learn...
In urban environments at lower levels the range can end up being only like 500m, which is still great, but the range extenders will help boost the signal strength in those sorts of conditions. If you’re on a flat open field without any houses you can basically fly as far as the battery will let you go, but in non-perfect conditions these help extend the range.
@@Chevsilverado Only thing I see that might be a little bit of a drawback is the fact that these type extenders really narrow the signal width which makes keeping the antenna pointed at the drone a little more critical.
@@dheller777 Yeah but I think at long range you’d need to point the stock antenna directly at the drone anyways. In short range it should still work a little better even if you point it away from the drone.
@@Chevsilverado It should definitely make a more reliable connection especially at short distances with a lot of interference. Not sure but I might try the parabolic ones for my Mini 2. They work well with my Phantom.
@@precisionflight2296 I found it.. It's always on the bottom left, it's a mini square that looks like a map. Hit it once and it gives you the little preview and you can expand it to full screen.
You don't know how far I can see 🙈. Haha 😂, chill bro Karen's will be Karen's. You spent 800 on the drone you should be flying it out real far. No issues as long as it's not close to airspace like you said. I'm waiting on my mini 2 and definitely flying it deeeeep when I get it. I woulda bout the SE if I didn't. ✌️
It is at 5.8 GHz. This extender is more suitable for crowded cities. For open areas 2.4 GHz. I don't have any. Maybe I will buy 5.8, but I have done a lot of different tests and it is not even works that even write that it worsens the signal. If I buy it, I will test it.
GUYS thank you so much for the support on the channel. Let’s keep it going, like the video if you enjoyed

You should make the music quieter.

Used same range extender and it works. Liked and subbed!!!! Best regards from the Philippines.
Thank you so much have a good day
Since the mini 2 does not have precision landing it did extremely well to land as close as it did.
Nice one. Music a bit loud, difficult to hear you. Thanks again for sharing though. 👍👍👍
-- My front lawn is Class D airspace, so I have to get well out of VFR to 'mess around'. Ordered one. Yet to test it. Hope it helps.
Thanks for video my mini 2 looses connection, so was wondering if to get one. Just a point the load music spoils it
MUSIC IS DAMN LOUD !!!
Thanks man! just dot a dij mini and mine only does about 3,000 feet on normal so im looking for a quick cheap solution.
What range extender is this one ? Do.you have link ?

I don't think he has much choice about the weather.
With the bad loud music in the back round couldn't hear a word you said wth .
your landing pad needs more contrast to perform better
Turn music down its overpowering your voice

Karen will complain the tunes cultural appropriation.
My test DJI Mini 2 with range extender ....H=393.7008....D=13451.4 mode C
but why need an extender when this this supposedly have a range of 10km (approx 6 miles)
It makes the connection much better

What covers the biggest distance before you drain the battery? N or S mode?
Normal mode is typically more efficient
Hey chief, how do you get that map screen on the bottom left?
Honestly I don’t remember ... I just remember it was in the settings section of the DJI app

Good job👍
does any one know range of dji mini 2 with maven app?

2.4 or 5.8 range extender?
Honestly I have no clue lol 😂 I’m assuming both
