Hi, thanks for your feedback. I agree and initially I planned to film the cutting. But back then, it would have been difficult to cut and film at the same time, since you need both hands for the saw. I'll try to film some cutting in an updated review. For now, I can tell you, it is cutting very easy and fast - just like a good gasoline chainsaw. ;)

The Battery I used has 4.0 Ah (288Wh/80V). The charging time is approx 1 hour. Please note, that Greenworks recommends using the 2.0 Ah Battery, since it's weight is better balanced to this Chainsaw. Still the 4.0 Ah worked for me without problems and gave double run-time.
Thanks for your comment. Greenworks recommends using the 2Ah (Amp Hours) battery, since it is lighter and gives a better balance for handling the chainsaw. In my review, I used the 4Ah battery, which gives double worktime, but is also heavier. In the end it depends on your needs.
@@magnusrhodesianridgeback2190 Hi Magnus, I just checked to find some comparison and found the Stihl MSA 220 battery chainsaw. It seems mostly okay for cutting wood. The main difference to my Greenworks is that the Stihl has only 36V while the Greenworks uses 80V (they advertise it as 42cc gasoline chainsaw equivalent) batteries. The Stihl bar is shorter (14-16 inch) compared to my Greenworks 18 inch bar. I checked the performance on video - seems the Stihl is getting the job done - but slower than my Greenworks. Looks like, it just has less raw power when cutting. Also the Stihl seems to be more expensive and hard to get at the moment. Since you mentionend, you already own the Greenworks mower and trimmer, I'd give the chainsaw a try. I used the 80V 4Ah battery in mine, but I guess the 5Ah should work too, since it is the same size, just a little bit heavier. Still Greenworks recommends using the 2Ah battery for the chainsaw, since it has a better weight balance. Let me know, how you decided and if everything worked out. ;)
Hi, I do not own the EGO Chainsaw, but from what I could find, they have 56V instead of 80V Power. The Greenworks 80V is promoted as "equivalent to 45cc gas engine". I can tell, it is really strong and built like a gas chainsaw with steel spikes and a metal handle. So if you have to cut some challenging wood, the Greenworks might be better. Still the EGO seems to be absolutely fine, if used mainly for non-professional yard work.
I would have LOVED to actually SEE the assembly. I know you're doing this to try to help people like me but this left pretty much everything to the imagination. Maybe Greenworks has a video. Thanks anyway.
So you cut the limb without showing how it cut the branch? The idea is to show how it performs.

Would have been good to actually see it cut!

Buy the 4amps or higher battery

How would this compare to Stihl electric chainsaw ?
Also, Can the 5 Ah battery be used in this? I bought the mower and trimmer because of your other review.

Thank you for your feedback. There is a pretty good manual coming with this chainsaw. Let me know, in case you need help. ;)
@@madeingdr8393 Thanks so much! I used it most of the day today and I love it. So far, so good.
