The only problem with the "Sorin fuse" is that you don't know at what current ignite it. But 10A will still be better than no protection with a 0R resistor.
I had the exact same issue with a raspberry pi board in the fuse after the USB port. No matter what PSU used the OS reported undervoltage. I decided to bypass the input circuit with my bench power supply and provide 5V after the fuse and...Voila! No undervoltage messages. Afterwards I measured the fuse and found just 2.5 Ohms of resistance but this was more than enough to have a voltage drop which triggered the undervoltage messages. I replaced the fuse and everything went back to normal. As for the LCD fuse there, you should have called Sorin for help.... 😁
We all know that you will use Sorin's proper calibrated wire :D. Excellent video :D.

Interesting laptop, the touchpad looks out of place. Good repair as always.
