Since no one mentioned anything abt the clip, im guessing sarah's dad was olivia's school teacher 10 years back and probably kidnapped and murdered her. Just like what Dr Charles said, sarah's dad took olivia's third monkey as a prized possession after murdering her to keep it as a trophy just like any serial killer. Thats why olivia's parent never found the third monkey in her dorm room.
The organ memory theory will be a nice plot for a murder mystery. The serial killer accidentally dies and his organs are donated to a person who starts to relive the murder moments and where the bodies were. A sequel could be that the organ receiver gets tormented by these thoughts so much that he/she becomes a serial killer
They ruined a perfectly good story by making him a killer. It's a cope out and makes it easy for the audience to hate him as an unambiguous evil, reinforcing the stupid stereotype sociopath = serial killer. For once we had a somewhat realistic portrayal of a real life sociopath. Most of them hurt their loved ones not by being physically violent but by being manipulative, selfish and untrustworthy. Having Reese decide whether her non-violent but selfish father is worthy of protection was far more interesting as a moral dilemma.
I am 100% with Dr. Charles on this one. I really didn’t like that this is how it ended with Sarah. I feel like Dr. Charles was more of a father to her.
Dr. Charles: The parent think that she was murdered. Dad: Just cause a girl missing doesn't mean she's murdered. Dr. Charles: so you do know.. I didn't say she was missing This happened 10 years ago. You'd put two and two together that if the case is still open and parents think that she was murdered, she'd be missing as well? No need to jump to conclusions
You see, he never mentioned that the case was still open. For all this dad could know, the Olivia girl might have been found dead with causes unknown. When someone says that the parents of a person suspect their child was murdered, many people would comprehend the subtext to be “instead of dying from other causes”, and not “just missing and never been found”. So the fact that the dad said with certainty that “missing doesn’t mean murdered” can suggest he knows something.
