- The weather report called for a 5 knot North wind, so we loaded up the boat and went offshore of Pensacola Florida since the sea report predicted 1 ft or less. We used 30lb power pro braid, uni to uni knot to 30lb leader, with a double hook (chicken rig) and a 3oz weight. We ran our Blazer Bay to a spot my friend sent me, it is just about 7 miles off Pensacola Beach Florida. 80ft deep water we started marking bottom and fish the second we arrived. Dropped our rigs down with cut squid and bonita and instantly got bites.

I remember the first time I caught a trigger I was so surprised how good they fight. Crazy! Nice video🔥
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Trigger fish fight good with that big tail. Push a lot of water for a little fish

Howdy from the other end at Naples. Looks like they were definitely biting!
I use to live in Sarasota! Miss that south Florida Inshore fishery
@@Justbereelflorida I was stationed at Keesler 48 years ago and the fishing in your area was off the hook back then.
Our gulf fishing is amazing. The bay has struggled with the hurricanes, washed away most of the grass flats we had. Can still be fun but it is nothing like it once was
@@Justbereelflorida It'll come back. Hurricanes been hitting the area for thousands of years.
Good point. Just crazy how much big storm change the coast. My uncle use to fish a grass flat 20 years ago. That got buried under sand from a storm. It’s never recovered. Still only 2 ft deep and all sand for miles.
Another great catch and cook video man 🔥🤘🏼
