Great video. I wish I had that kind of videography talent. We live and fish out of Apalachicola, and are finding ourselves venturing out deeper to find fish that we can actually keep. It's almost impossible to fish in the 100' range when ARS are out of season, because that's about all we catch. And now because of the closed season on the red grouper, they too are overpopulated already. They're actually running the ARS out areas that I normally catch them at this time of year.
Thanks and appreciate you watching. We are planning another trip to Apalachicola in a few weeks - running the ICW to there. Keep hearing about needing to go out deeper to catch red snapper this year. It’s a lot different than in past years!
Man I must have missed that part of the trip where we sent back a dead fish! We always use the state required descending device and venting tool. Thanks for watching though🤘

@@thereel850 I’ve been wanting to do that run myself. Sounds like fun. I hope to see a video of the experience.
That water was like glass.
Nice trip 850 a little variety and dinner for 2 😊
Nice work. Technically, you rigged that Johnny jigs flatty upside down, but whatever works 😉
Thanks - I was wondering which way to tie that. I just went with the side opposite the hooks 🤷🏻♂️ I need instructions with those things!
Hooks both ends. Tie to end with the eyes. Tie to the solid ring or a swivel.
Good video!
Thank you! Y’all should plan a trip over!
Great video guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a slow pitch setup. whats the rod reel combo you have for the slow pitch jigging?
It’s a Shimano Ocea Jigger on a 6’8” Star Plasma II. Rated for 50-80lb braid and 200-500g jigs
Super Snapper The Reel 850!
Was snapper season open? Gut hooked fish that are going back dead? Not cool.

Ah yes.. yet another victim of the extremely rare Red Snapper. Only seen in area waters when you drop bait attached to a metal hook!
We’ll see if they’re biting when the season opens!
I am going to call animal care and control on you I hear your dog panting in a hot sun out there
They don’t open until 10 am but here’s the # for you 850-767-3333
@@thereel850 There is always one in the comments huh? ;) Great video guys!
