At age 80, I have owned or leased 20 Nissans. Currently we own a 2019 Max SL and a 2020 Versa SV. Yeah, I love my Max but for buzzing around town the Versa is just a satisfying ride. The Versa is peppy and the safety features are great for aging drivers. My wife wanted a small car so we bought a Versa and I will recommend it. Look at the SR too.

I have a '13 Sentra(6 speed) running strong, but would go Versa because Sentra is now CVT only. Versa still offers manual. Never had a problem with a Nissan engine or manual trans, but no way am I going to gamble with their jatco CVT history. These are both economy cars, so reliability, efficiency and easy repair comes first. If I want more features from higher trims, I would just buy a higher end vehicle.

I bought a New 2021 Sentra SR because of you, and I just love it. I test drove the Versa SR, and I did like it however it did seem a bit cramped inside the Versa. It wasn't too bad, but the Sentra really has great elbow room, and the interior is a lot nicer. Thank you again Christopher for your great reviews.

I'm old fashion. I've owned everything from a 1987 Sentra to my current 2013 Sentra SR. My wife had three Versa's the quality is not as good as the Sentra...as we've had many issues w/ our 18 Versa, however, I'm tossing back and forth between the 3rd gen Versa v.s. that 8th Sentra due to the fact that the three gen Versa is Naturally aspirated (basically a Modern B13 Sentra from back in the day) and I do most of the work on my cars. In other words, looks easier to fix than the GDI Sentra... Our '17 Pathfinder is a challenge to fix at times. Thanks for the video!

Lets see the Versa has the radio in the dash which is where it should be (not looking like they threw a tablet in on top as a last resort for a radio in the Sentra and Altima),Versa has just a hair less power, (24 HP less) but lighter (300-500LBS less) so just as quick. I picked the 2021 Versa SR and I'm not regretting my choice one bit. I love my new 2 week old Versa.

Drove a 2021 Gunmetal Versa S with Manual transmission off the lot for $16500. Lots of fun to drive and a high quality car. 5th gear could be a little longer but that's it. Nothing about it feels cheap. 33/34mpg. Fit fine with comfort at 6'3. That being said the check engine light has come on 9 times in the first 800 miles reporting a thermostat code.

Versa definitely, smaller car but still does everything I need it to and eventhough it's not the fastest it's still affordable on both gas and payments and has plenty of room. I had a 2015 nissan versa s and now I have a 2017 nissan versa sv in red and eventhough it's an older versa I'd still stick with versa. I'm glad they still make it. I think my choice for the versa is mainly due to the fact that I live subcompact cars and the Sentra never impressed me all that much. I also don't like that the Sentra has the fuel tank on the passenger side which wasn't mentioned in your video. That's a huge negative in my opinion and it's the only car that nissan makes that has the fuel tank on the passenger side at least as far as nissan cars go. Also if you're going to go for spend that much on a Sentra you might as well just go for an Altima as it's better than the Sentra if you like bigger cars.

Not anymore; that's dated information. Nissan has made major improvements and now all you need to do is change the cvt fluid out every 15k. Changing the transmission fluid once a year is a good practice anyway, regardless of make and model. J.D. Power rates the 2022 Nissan Sentra as only 1 point less reliable than a Corolla (84 vs. 85) but 4 points more reliable than a Civic (84 vs. 80).

I have own a 2020 Versa S, 2021 Sentra SR, and the 2020 Alitma SV. I have to said they all looks very similar withe the samer steering wheel on all three cars but for this comparison between the Versa and Sentra, I recomment the Sentra because it has a better ride quality and has more powerful engine as compared to the 1.6L on the Versa. Gas milage is 3 MPG less on the Sentra but I'll take that nicer ride quality on the Sentra. The Versa is a really great deal for people on the budget because it has all the same saftey technlogy as the Sentra minus the remote starter. Most regular 2019 to 2024 Nissan Altima lack the standard safty technoloies offer on the affortable Nissan Versa. LOL Nissan did this purposely so they can sell more Nissan Versa.

The Sentra is a better car in all ways... except 1. I still don't trust Nissan CVT's. The Sentra only comes with a CVT, the Versa S can be had with a Manual. If you are looking to keep this car for a long time, this must be considered. I am consider buying a 2022 Versa S Manual, for my daily driver. Cannot find any 2021 Versa S Manuals for sale in my area, right now. Not considering any CVT Transmission car.

Nissan has made major improvements in their CVTs in recent years and now all you need to do is change the cvt fluid out every 15k. Changing the transmission fluid once a year is a good practice anyway, regardless of make and model. J.D. Power rates the 2022 Nissan Sentra as only 1 point less reliable than a Corolla (84 vs. 85) but 4 points more reliable than a Civic (84 vs. 80).

Still knowing the chance of finding another manual & after driving the car, my wife convinced me, if this was the car I wanted we should buy it. One year later, I still love my Versa. And are people touching the dashboard and upper part of the door panels? I don’t when I drive - I have my hands on the wheel, and so a leather wrapped steering wheel and a comfortable, adjustable seat mean a lot more to me than squishy plastic on the dash. My first car was a 1957 VW beetle, and it’s dash and upper door surfaces were metal. Did I say to myself, “Oh dear, oh my, I wish I had squishy plastic?” Never crossed my mind.
