Vampire Survivivors had a HUGE new update and today we check out Crystal Cries, a new Darkasso (Arcana) that drops frozen hearts when you kill a frozen enemy, increasing your Health, Recovery and Growth. Obviously we have to also take this one to the extremes.

I hope that in future updates they will add a slider in the settings that makes weapons efects less visable like in soulstone survivors
You can quite easily mod it but in-game weapon RGB/transparency customization would be sick
This is how you know dex is entertaining. We just spent a good 25 mins staring at a pixelated epilepsy bightmare and numbers and were all like 😳 do it again!

Considering (unless they changed how it works recently) a reapers health is something like 600k multiplied by your player level at the time of it spawning, I'm not surprised you couldn't kill one of them. You were level 5000 so their health pool must have been MASSIVE.
@@zenwolf1996 And that's why you need Infinite Corridor most of the time to kill a reaper no matter what kind of build you have. But with the help of Infinite Corridor you'll cut his health by half each time the clock lancet finishes the cycle and triggers infinite corridor.
I played this darkasso for like 10 minutes and it drained my phone like no other game ever did
Yeah my PC ran slightly louder doing this run. The sheer number of hits.
Those little blue hearts give like .5% growth bonus but it’s compounding.

Hopefully they make level numbers go up faster in future updates... wait, but that triggers weapons for every limit break.... oh well.
Honestly, the map should show the actual stage on it or have landmarks marked on it. You'd probably have to explore the map first to fill it out and have stuff appear on it (as a permanent thing), or have it be an unlock on each stage.

Hey dex I'm the guy from that reddit post a while back about Gyoruntin. I was wondering if you will probably make a new vid on the character using the darkarcana
Using Cosmo I got impostongue (sharp tongue evo) to 900.2 million dps(no eggs) using the new crystal cries and clock lancet as a freeze. Got to lvl 2679 and was killing the reaper in around 34 hits for 51,452,928 to over 60,000,000 a hit. You should start doing crystal cries + Clock lancet runs it opens up a lot of different builds and arcana to use.
The last time I did this with this character I got to level 11,064 before I died (I was still leveling up too). I'd recommend using Luminaire to get more from the xp on the ground. Jail of crystal arcana also makes it freeze so synergy there as well.
Also you want to move around a lot to pick up the hearts. The magnet doesn't draw all of the hearts to you. Basically move around as much as you can, and then stop moving once the growth double hits on wicked season to get the most out of it. You'll start moving fast enough that the xp won't get to you unless you stop moving so it works pretty well.
I also don't know if mad groove moves the hearts. I'll have to try that out.
Mad groove attracts the hearts. Gets very laggy tho

When Dex showed how broken the cats were VS nerfed them, when he showed how broken Bloodline Arcana was VS nerfed it twice so I wouldn't be surprised if Paranormal Scan is nerfed in a future update.
I'm honestly still so sad about Gatti. They weren't just nenerf, they were de-clawed and put on sleeping drugs. Nowadays they need 20 chickens for what needed 1 chicken.

Hey! Great vid man! Really struggling with progression and was wondering if you had any tips? I’ve completed all stages upto ‘cappella magna’
I recommend following his guides to unlocking secret characters. I'd recommend Death, and the ghosts. Smith does really well at late game, as well as Pugnala, because of their scaling. Once you are ahead of curse curves then you can start getting into some golden eggs to start moving more into the endgame.

I was able to get somewhat higher damage using Time Warp and Infinite Corridor. I do not have Among Us DLC so I used that instead. I used Chaos in the Dark Night instead of Sapphire Mist. I was not able to get as high a level because the Reaper died in a few seconds.
I'm kind of slow. Which character is Dex playing here? It's the guns DLC right?
Edit: Wait, it's Probotector. I sometimes wish Dex could grant us some more meta data for his runs. Ach Mann!
hello dex, im trying to install mods for the new engine, from nexous, and the zip isnt working in melonloader. Any tips on what to do? everytime i put the zip into melonloader, it just says "0 mods loaded".
I was messing around with this but with Luminaire, but it needs that freeze arcana...
I did this run earlier, no Bolero, yes Laurel, and I actually did kill Reapers in ~80 seconds.

holy cow! are the hearts multiplicative? Like just a really tiny multiplier like 1.00001 compounding growth or something?
yeah, but its not that tiny i think its 1.001
If anyone is wondering mad grove doesn't work with the crystal hearts because they count as special items not normal items meaning just like the gold fingers they stay where they drop
Well it did quite clearly, sure vacuum doesnt work, but why shouldnt mad grove

@@Zopeee strange when I tested it it didn't guess there's a few differences between computer and mobile
@@rileymiller3154you can test it in two minutes(like they moved and werent where they originaly where), but Dex also had them move(pc), maybe it was buggy or they fixed it since it a beta i think still to some extent

100m dps is a tiny pitance. There are builds in the game at 0 eggs that give orders of magnitude higher damage so you are doing a trillion damage per second.
with the evo-d clock lancet i always get something like “54G”, but whats G? no idea but it sounds like a lot
@@JGDIFFWR It is billion. Damage values are M for Mega, G for Giga, T for Tera, and P for Peta. Not sure if there is an E after P. Never did that much damage before but it would be Exa.

Actually, with the Scientist, you can have +5% growth per level if you pick Growth 5 times. :)
Crystal cries + gains + time warp would probably be a bit busted
Heaven Sword would pointlessly eat upgrades though and generate more unfrozen kills.

It's so annoying to have a map that doesn't show the terrain or boundaries. I mean, that's 99% of what a map is. A map for just the items is dumb, I hope they change that.
And yeah, a weapon effect transparency slider is so needed. Seems arrogant not to have those.
Clock lancet synergy ?
Something crazy with RUclips adds in this video. I have beer add every 10-20 seconds. It is very hard to watch.
I'd say restart YT, if it was once per minute I could give an explanation (though even that shouldn't happen), but 10-20 seconds doesn't even line up with the ad slots
Either ad block or revanced if you are mobile(first one you can pause when you want second one you can just stop using if you want to have ads)

no Dex, it should never stop on nice or nice² (nice-squared) if it can also just as well stop on nice³ (nice-cubed) which is an entire dimension better than nice-squared since it's 3D instead of 2D, ya dingus-fingus binkedy bingus-bongus!
