*This is short sighted in that the FDOE doesn't have jurisdiction over grades K through 12 and while they are a destructive force in that level of education, what they're doing to post secondary schools is brutally worse.* They offer federal funding to local schools under the agreement that these schools adopt their policies by choice and because local yockels are not equipped with the education and intelligence to make a rational and informed decision, they've been taking that money for decades! *What this system as done to colleges, universities, trade schools and career colleges is even more devastating.* The claim that colleges are non-profit is a total scam. It's literally for profit colleges and trade schools that can't jerk you around or they go under and close forever. Non-profits run off of tuition, donations, revenue generating operations within and tax grants. The presidents, professors and other administration give themselves 6, 7 and 8 figure salaries and just maintain everything for tax purposes in such a way they can remain claiming to be non-profit. *The cold hard facts being literally none do a job so well to justify their 6, 7 and 8 figure salaries.*

Trust the parents, not the States. If they are going to revamp American ed., there has to be some basic foundational rules and guidelines. This is America. Education needs to reflect that. Let's make it a priority to make smart, intelligent people.
The only way to ensure a healthy human brain is to stop bombarding it with stress and a sedentary lifestyle, school enforces both, it also causes an aversion to making mistakes (which we need to see as a good thing to learn from) and was never invented to make intelligent people but obedient people (look up history of public schooling) unschooling and sudbury schools are far, far better at creating a healthy, happy and more intelligent populace, they're also far less dangerous.
What is amazing here is that it is Biblical to leave the education of children in the parents' hands. I don't have a problem with the DOE per se, but what I have a problem with is the DOE telling parents what their children can and cannot learn. That is not the governments job. And don't even get me started on Roman Numerals. They couldn't even express zero.
@@protorhinocerator142 Homework is EXTREMELY necessary for reinforcement of what students learn in class. I 100% agree that there needs to be more communication between teachers on what they assign, but class time is also very limited, and some work/notetaking/reading has to be done at home.
Imagine an English class where every single page of a novel has to be read in class, it would take months to get through books and there would be little time for review, discussions, assessments, activities etc.
As the wife of a teacher that was in a classroom for 43 years...parents need to get their kids to DO THE WORK. So many kids just blow it off because it's not fun.
Nobody should have to spend their day doing boring, unfulfilling, unpaid work, it doesn't even matter to people if anything is learnt from it or not so why do it? you wouldn't be eager to do work you got absolutely no benefit from either. People clearly don't learn the curriculum of classes in school anyway and doing all the work doesn't change that.
@@Mr.Goodkat my A+ student would disagree
It's not hard to make it fun?
Remember school house rock Schoolhouse Rock! is an animated musical series that taught children a variety of subjects through catchy songs:
What it is
A series of animated musical shorts that aired on ABC from 1973 to 1985, and again from 1993 to 1996. The show covered topics such as grammar, history, math, science, economics, and civics.

Homeschool your children today as the publicly educated ones will need someone to work for tomorrow.
As a parent in California, I fear CA in charge of my kid’s education than anything else right now. My wife and I are even considering leaving the state before they messing up our kid’s gender and brain. 🥶🥶
How about ABOLISHING the School District Property Tax Bill that WE THE PEOPLE get slapped with every year? ESPECIALLY for people who don't have children and anyone who is retired!!
I live in a small town in California (yup the curse of newscum) and there’s actually a teacher here who has been teaching for over 23 years and she shows up twice a week for a few weeks and then disappears for a few weeks. Her big disability is…covid mental trauma
government departments are held accountable, oh wow
Yes!! Get education back into the hands of the States and parents’ hands!!
DISMANTLE THE DoE! Remove teachers unions! Remove tenure! Remove any protections and focus on incentives! This must happen if we want an educated citizenry.
THE DUMBEST COMMENT EVER LMAOOO. America has an issue with hiring Teachers right now and this is your recommendation? LOL
@@JamesBond-fv8my this is the proven method for success in pretty much anything you could attempt. If you don't understand the data in regards to protection vs incentives you certainly aren't smart enough to debate me.
@@patrickduvall6855 again what your stating makes no sense but your right my intellect is lacking and your smarter than me a person that actually works for the board of education Kudos sir.
@@JamesBond-fv8my it's literally documented in a million different ways. You won't find anyone in the private sector who says protection is good and incentives are bad. It's the opposite because the DATA shows it. Your opinion does not matter. If you are protected at your job, I'd suggest you start doing a good job before you get fired.
Need emergency evaluation for all teachers!
Jesus, thank you for freeing us! ❤❤❤
And no effing Jesus in schools
no child left behind caused those of us that should have been ahead to stay stagnant and bored
Who does the Department of Education, educate? Why cant states deal with this, instead of a bloated federal beauracracy?
HUD needs to be abolished, too.
Any Senator that votes for keeping the Department of Education automatically should get primaried unacceptable and it needs to be abolished
yes yes yes.....get rid of dept of ed.
Should have gotten rid of the Dept. of Education years ago!
Best move would be get rid of the failed Department of Education, give back to states.
The pandemic had one silver lining. Parents got to see first hand how bad our educational system had gotten. Parents being arrested for attending school board meetings, having rights stripped.... It goes on!
Parents should have seen how bad it was when they attended school themselves, student's have no rights and are constantly mistreated.
What a god send this man is!
Most of the public education is already administered by the states anyways. I don't know how much of control will be given back to parents even after the Department of Education is shut down. Not that we should keep it, but I think the impact of getting rid of it won't be as dramatic as it seems
What we are doing isn’t working.
My son is exceptional, currently a Senior doing virtual, He had issues here in St. Louis Missouri with the schools antiquated curriculum, Trust me I have done more than an angel in the heaven to progress my son to better learning over the years. He is now with virtual a straight A student. He completed in the first two weeks of the first semester of Senior Year the two subjects of English and Science with straight A's. Unfortunately he has to wait to take two more credits, one in English, and one in science? Then He can Graduate? But they won't let him complete these subjects until the Second Semester in January? This school system promoted that a high school student completing required subjects early could then take college subjects early to start their future early! Did not happen!!! And our own Public School appointed leader chose to hire family and friends for such big salaries that the budget in St. Louis is in debt. Yes, Yes, YES the schools nation wide need a big, gigantic overhaul to give our children the chance to be better than they will ever expect to be.
Abolish the Dept of Education.
American schools were number 1 until prayer 🙏 and bible were forcefully removed from schools. Go back to what worked
Do it!!!!
If the Attorney General gig doesn't work out for Matt Gaetz he should be nominated for department of education. He'll be very personally involved in these young people's lives 👍
3:35 I agree with this lady 1000%! 90% of a childs success is PARENT SUPPORT! So many parents have a hard time teaching their kids at home & helping with homework when they have 10 steps to figure the answer to a 35x16 multiplication problem! Its ridiculous!
Department of education. Needs Senate approval to abolish. If you think thats gonna happen, put down the crack apparatus.
It violates the 10th Amendment.
We shouldn't need "approval" to enforce the Constitution.
I agree 100% abolish Dept of Education bring it back to states
Abolish it.
Home-school is the best option.
The adoption of Common Core Math has been a total disaster, I'm a teacher and I hated CC.
Not just back to the basics. We need to clear the school calendars of all DEI/CRT/GI and fill those hours with practical education including industrial arts and home economics. Among the arts, it would be nice to see more schools with robust music programs, too.
You’re out of your mind if you think that’s going to happen now that each state gets to decide their own standards and funding. Kansas is already a test subject for what happens when you completely defund education, and it’s not pretty.
@@Kim-sq9gp If the ultraliberal states want to keep funding puff projects like CRT/DEI/GI then that'll be up to them. States like Kentucky and Florida will be quick to boot that stuff out and their kids will rapidly begin to outpace those less fortunate. Then, parents' will start voting with their feet and take their kids to states that provide better education.
Lets get rid of everything! Whos with me?
Iám not You have to look at, what the Dept, of Education works with and why we have them, It foundation is to collect knolleged about, what works and how can we learn from it and use it on other schools.
It started with programs for kids, that did not go to school and get a education because they could not afford it
They have programs for disabled kids and handicaped kids, that help them, going to school.
SO it sounds easy, when 3 billionaires, who never had gone to a public school, say it´s useless, but instead of working to create a model for the system, where you lift it to a higher level, but that not the agenda for them, just to cut the school system and save money, and then they call it effectivity
back to the parents, just mean back in time, not sharing good results and sharing them.
Increased costs for parents
Get rid of the department of education!
Please shut down the doe and take the atf with them
"CHILD CARE"? HOUSING IS CHILD CARE!
Yes! Compulsory Education has ALWAYS SUCKED!!!
Delete ALL unions from government! Local, state and federal!
As a freshly retired public high school teacher, I can say the Department of Education did NOTHING.
Pipe dream I'm afraid. Even a few rinos wouldn't vote for this.
The problem we have where I live- the teacher student ratio is unbelievable. Kids are not getting the help they need in the classroom.
1000% correct.
Just compare with private school!
I think the NEA has to go, and yesterday. The DOE isn't worth a crap but the NEA is the real culprit.
63 days till end of democracy, decency, educating the young and the Republic.
First get rid of NCLB. Then we'll see how it goes.
we should only have state departments, period!
*This is short sighted in that the FDOE doesn't have jurisdiction over grades K through 12 and while they are a destructive force in that level of education, what they're doing to post secondary schools is brutally worse.*
They offer federal funding to local schools under the agreement that these schools adopt their policies by choice and because local yockels are not equipped with the education and intelligence to make a rational and informed decision, they've been taking that money for decades!
I live in a small town in California (yup the curse of newscum) and there’s actually a teacher here who has been teaching for over 23 years and she shows up twice a week for a few weeks and then disappears for a few weeks. Her big disability is…covid mental trauma!
Probably don’t have to get rid of it, just need to change leadership to keep proper education policies intact
In fact, the government has two responsibilities: reward those who do good and punish those who do bad.
Every time republicans get pissed off, an angel gets its wings....
IT'S PRETTY BAD WHEN PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES KNOW OUR HISTORY BETTER THAN WE DO!
Bye, bye DOE. Make the ATF next.
Kudos to TRUMP for bringing the Dept of Education to the states & giving parents more lead way of education of their children!!
Give women the ability and funding to teach their own kids!!! ❤ ATTENTION PARENTS!!! IF TEACHERS EVER ADVISE YOU TO PUT YOUR KIDS ON MEDS?! SUE THEM!!! You can and you will be rich 😂❤
Take education back to states
Yesssss
As a homeschooling mother of two who's husband works 80 hours a week and forks over thousand upon thousands of his hard earned paycheck to our rotten public schools and also pays for our boys curriculums, Thank you Trump. PLEASE PLEASE we need school choice. Our tax dollars do not represent us and we are being robbed! Living on one income is possible but it is not easy in today's economy. Our children's education is so important and with our tax dollars back in our pocket we can make our kids education that much better.
Yes , delete board of education and back to the individual states.
