it probably is indeed an rx 560, but not the desktop variant, if you see the codename of the gpu is "baffin", while the rx 560 is polaris, it could also be an rx 460 (the rx 460 is baffin too) but is not likely (the memories of the rx 460s are at 1750mhz), there is a gpu with the codename baffin and the memories at 1500mhz, and is the rx 560 mobile.
That is very interesting. I had a look at the mobile version of the RX 560 on Techpowerup, but they seem to use the same picture of the Die for most Baffin GPUs, so I wasnt sure. Thanks for the comment. I think you may be on to something.

Way back I used to work at a place here in Canada that labelled its products as made in China even though I was running the machine doing the manufacturing with local materials. I was told that it was to avoid duties and tariffs for Canadian goods wherever it was going.
Even makers like Xfx, elitegroup,MSI make the 560d variant,(which is the 460 rebranded) you find these in many prebuilt systems. Like HP, Dell and Cyberpower. You can also buy off the shelf 560d if you are not careful. A full 560d has 1024 shaders. As opposed to the 896? and believe it or not that causes a 5%+ decrease in overall performance. So it's not just a overseas/Asian market deal. Just a basic cut down OEM variant. One thing is you can try to flash the BIOS to open up those extra shaders to 1024 if you have the know-how. Several other RUclipsrs have done this, I tried with an OEM 2gb Dell branded 560d(elitegroup mfg) but was unable to do it, but was able to do it on an Asus 4gb variant....so, your mileage may vary.
I love it when shady vendors do you the "favour" of listing something as a gift. If you are unlucky, customs will look at it, rightly surmise that this is a lie, and charge you an arm and a leg in duties and taxes because they have no indication of the actual value of the item.

I have a Sapphire Pulse rx 560 2gb with 896sp and a 6pin. Seems completely useless as it only pulls 35watts with the tuning I gave it. Won't let me boot without a 6pin connected. -150mv core, -29mhz core, +250mhz ram

Is a 3rd party seller. A lot of people have that option filtered out by default. New Egg has a lot more stuff then you think if you allow third party options to show up in search results, and a lot of it comes out of HK, but yeah it can be a gamble if its someone without a lot of sales history.

I just found this old video, but I wanted to leave a comment. There are two things in GPU-Z that indicate that it's definitely a RX460. ROPs/TMUs: 16/56 -> RX460, since the RX560 has 16/64 Release Date: Aug 8, 2016 -> RX460, since the RX560 was released in Q2 of 2017 The 2GB/4GB thing the website pointed to is explained quite easily. There was a 2GB and a 4GB variant of the RX460. It's possible they just somehow flashed a RX560 Bios on it, so it shows as that one, while it's still an RX460 hardware-wise.
@Dawid Does Tech Stuff The Corn RX460/RX560(D) has PCB made by BIOSTAR and the Die is from Pegatron(today a part of AMD) for OEM's. That's why you not found much informations about it. You can find same die nummers on gpu's in Apple's Mac's and on OEM-GPU's from Diamond too. I know this because im working for BIOSTAR in Germany. Have a X-mas! :)

For anyone curious, these are “scrap cards” what I mean by that is the company buys a bunch of Damaged GPUs or just specific gpu parts at very cheap wholesale prices and then puts them together to give it another life, more often than not they buy used mining cards/ ewaste cards, replace a few components, slap it on a new pcb and package it up as being new

I mean there are lots of variants of RX 460/560s that has different Stream Processors. RX 460's have 640 to 896 sp's while 560D/Baffin are 896 and the vanilla 560 has 1024. RX 560 XT's are around 1.7k sp's and has the same performance as an RX 470 but doesn't eat that much power. edit. there's mining variants like those asus ones and reflashed 460s too. jesus, it is as if board partners are just playing around with these cards lmao

I actually bought a RX580 that's from the same manufacturer (it was only $150 for the 4GB model). Outside of having a less than stellar heatsink on it I can say it is actually a really great card, I was able to play Jedi Fallen Order at max settings, 1080p and a stable 60 FPS. So while the packaging is hella fishy I can say it is the card they promise.
Not sure if you'll see this but how did the card work out after you left this comment? I just bought the 580 as well and worried since it's not from a credible manufacturer.
@@ashVGF I'm actually still using the card to this day and it's performance hasn't noticeably dropped at all with heavy usage though I do not over clock it. All and all I can say I'm very happy with it.
No I don't. I feel like they have been very well covered by kther creaters, but ill let you know what I think. The boom arm is a Rode PSA1 I think its called. It is a but expensive but its really awesome! The mic is a Blue Yeti. I dont like that mic much. The sound quality is okay, but its huge and the the usb port on the base is really fragile and I have almost broken it many times. The pip filter is some random cheap one I bought in Japan and it isnt very good.
I have a Dell Radeon RX 580 8G card myself. The funny thing is that, while the RX 580 is Polaris 20, everything identifies the GPU as either Ellesmere (RX 480) or Polaris 10 (again, RX 480). Dell swears up and down that this is an RX 580. It looks exactly like an AMD RX 480 reference board with the single blower fan instead of the dual fan configuration of the AMD RX 580 reference board. The base clock and the boost clock match the spec of an RX 480. The core voltage matches exactly to the RX 480. And GPUz and Linux both identify it as an RX 480. Performance benchmarks match the RX 480 8G. The whole RX 5xx series is a mess. BTW: If you should see a Dell Radeon RX 580 for sale, it's best not to buy it. It seems that Dell sort of sabotaged the video BIOS so that the cooling fan will default to running at only 35% at the maximum temperature of 75C (when it should be running at about 75%), leaving the GPU heavily throttling the clock, when it is installed in non-Dell computers. They are such a great company.
It was not from Hong Kong. Hong Kong use traditional chinese characters. And it was apparently simplified chinese characters on the invoice. So, it was just another crap from MAINLAND china
RX 5xx family chips have no own PCI IDs It is absolutely normal you get RX 460 identification for RX 560 If you would run GNU Linux you would know that PCI IDs for AMD graphics cards are published directly by AMD and actually for say RX 580 it states RX 460 / RX 560
Did you know that all you have to do to make a RX 400 series card a 500 series card is update the BIOS? RX 500 series cards are literally RX 400 series cards with a BIOS that improves performance by a lot. Just update your 400 series card's BIOS to a 500 series BIOS (Like, ASUS ROG Strix RX 460 4GB would need a ASUS ROG Strix RX 560 4GB BIOS, and vice versa and etc). I learned this from a eBayer that had listed one of these RX 400 series cards and even publicly said that it had a RX 500 series BIOS. Apparently, the card still worked perfectly and seemed to improve performance from that guy's experience! Anyway, just so you know, if you want a better GPU for free and you've got a RX 400 series card, update the BIOS to the RX 500 series equivalent.

My guess is that the box is that this is part of an assembly line and they just include the cable for all video cards, whether you need it or not. At least they included it and you don't need it, versus not including it and you need it. As to the funky card information from GPuZ, would be funny if it was in fact a GTS450 flashed some how with an AMD bios..... OK I know that can't happen but based on all the FAKE GTS450's you ended up with I had to mention it. It is possible that this was in fact a "failed" 460 or 560. I remember AMD went through the phase where they sold 3-core processors, which were really 4-core processors where one of the cores was defective, but the other 3 were fine, so they just turned off the defect core and sold them as 3 core processors.

Nope. The whole architecture of RX 400/500 is Polaris, not the chip itself.
China also has some SPECIAL cards they have made for their own market and can indeed be a 560 but were made for a special purpose.

The 460 and 560 difference is just the memory nothing else, and from a quick check thats actual 560 performance.

For anyone curious, these are “scrap cards” what I mean by that is the company buys a bunch of Damaged GPUs or just specific gpu parts at very cheap wholesale prices and then puts them together to give it another life, more often than not they buy used mining cards/ ewaste cards, replace a few components, slap it on a new pcb and package it up as being new
ngl i would say that this graphics card has decent performance for being a " knockoff "
The company sells refurbished gpu, so this was prob a mining card or normal second hand

I mean there are lots of variants of RX 460/560s that has different Stream Processors. RX 460's have 640 to 896 sp's while 560D/Baffin are 896 and the vanilla 560 has 1024. RX 560 XT's are around 1.7k sp's and has the same performance as an RX 470 but doesn't eat that much power.

Sounds like one of those shady Chinese scamming Graphics Card makers. I know for the fact when I see weird ass Graphic Card maker names like CORN, I stand clear from them because I know it's nothing but a scam!
I actually bought a RX580 that's from the same manufacturer (it was only $150 for the 4GB model). Outside of having a less than stellar heatsink on it I can say it is actually a really great card, I was able to play Jedi Fallen Order at max settings, 1080p and a stable 60 FPS. So while the packaging is hella fishy I can say it is the card they promise.
Not sure if you'll see this but how did the card work out after you left this comment? I just bought the 580 as well and worried since it's not from a credible manufacturer.
@@ashVGF I'm actually still using the card to this day and it's performance hasn't noticeably dropped at all with heavy usage though I do not over clock it. All and all I can say I'm very happy with it.

No I don't. I feel like they have been very well covered by kther creaters, but ill let you know what I think. The boom arm is a Rode PSA1 I think its called. It is a but expensive but its really awesome! The mic is a Blue Yeti. I dont like that mic much. The sound quality is okay, but its huge and the the usb port on the base is really fragile and I have almost broken it many times. The pip filter is some random cheap one I bought in Japan and it isnt very good.

I have a Dell Radeon RX 580 8G card myself. The funny thing is that, while the RX 580 is Polaris 20, everything identifies the GPU as either Ellesmere (RX 480) or Polaris 10 (again, RX 480). Dell swears up and down that this is an RX 580. It looks exactly like an AMD RX 480 reference board with the single blower fan instead of the dual fan configuration of the AMD RX 580 reference board. The base clock and the boost clock match the spec of an RX 480. The core voltage matches exactly to the RX 480. And GPUz and Linux both identify it as an RX 480. Performance benchmarks match the RX 480 8G. The whole RX 5xx series is a mess.
BTW: If you should see a Dell Radeon RX 580 for sale, it's best not to buy it. It seems that Dell sort of sabotaged the video BIOS so that the cooling fan will default to running at only 35% at the maximum temperature of 75C (when it should be running at about 75%), leaving the GPU heavily throttling the clock, when it is installed in non-Dell computers. They are such a great company.

RX 5xx family chips have no own PCI IDs
It is absolutely normal you get RX 460 identification for RX 560
If you would run GNU Linux you would know that
PCI IDs for AMD graphics cards are published directly by AMD and actually for say RX 580 it states RX 460 / RX 560

Did you know that all you have to do to make a RX 400 series card a 500 series card is update the BIOS?
RX 500 series cards are literally RX 400 series cards with a BIOS that improves performance by a lot.
Just update your 400 series card's BIOS to a 500 series BIOS (Like, ASUS ROG Strix RX 460 4GB would need a ASUS ROG Strix RX 560 4GB BIOS, and vice versa and etc). I learned this from a eBayer that had listed one of these RX 400 series cards and even publicly said that it had a RX 500 series BIOS. Apparently, the card still worked perfectly and seemed to improve performance from that guy's experience!
Anyway, just so you know, if you want a better GPU for free and you've got a RX 400 series card, update the BIOS to the RX 500 series equivalent.

It might also me the 896sp variant of the rx 560. I also experienced something similar on my msi aero itx rx 560 4gb where the info on gpuz, hwinfo and techpowerup didn't line up.
whats with BC and tech guys, lol, I'm from Alberta so its always nice to watch local guys doing there thing vs TV whats pretty much 90% America. Anyways, Cool vid liked / subscribed.
My guess is that the box is that this is part of an assembly line and they just include the cable for all video cards, whether you need it or not. At least they included it and you don't need it, versus not including it and you need it.
As to the funky card information from GPuZ, would be funny if it was in fact a GTS450 flashed some how with an AMD bios..... OK I know that can't happen but based on all the FAKE GTS450's you ended up with I had to mention it.
It is possible that this was in fact a "failed" 460 or 560. I remember AMD went through the phase where they sold 3-core processors, which were really 4-core processors where one of the cores was defective, but the other 3 were fine, so they just turned off the defect core and sold them as 3 core processors.
