It was a bright and pleasant day when me and girlfriend decided to explore the ancient Sinhagad Fort. They had heard rumors that the fort was haunted by the spirits of the soldiers who had died in battle on its walls.
As we made our way up the winding path to the top of the fort, the wind howled and the sun poured down in sheets. Its was a hot summer morning and the sky was clear, We decided to stop at the 10th mile on the way to the Sinhagad fort which is called the Taljai Pathar (Taljai Plateau).
We huddled together, feeling a sense of unease as we reached the entrance to the Taljai Plateau. As we stepped inside, they were greeted by a chilling silence. The only sound was the sound of the birds chirping on the big banyan trees.
Suddenly, my girlfriend heard the sound of footsteps echoing through the bushes. I turned to see a shadowy figure darting around the corner, Staring me.
We exchanged nervous glances and our hearts started racing as we saw the figure standing in front of us. They passed by old cannons and crumbling walls, each step bringing them closer to the heart of the haunted fort.
Finally, he reached out to me and he found valuables I was hiding in my upper pocket. As I approached, I felt that it was ghostly person , dressed in tattered clothing, face covered and carrying a rusted sword.
The ghostly soldier began to speak, his voice echoing through the Plateau. He told the story of how he and his girlfriend we tortured in the same place and the way he had fought defending the honor of his girlfriend.
As the story came to an end, the ghostly soldier disappeared, leaving the friends alone in the silent room.
Shaken but intrigued, the friends decided to explore further. They climbed to the highest point of the fort, where they found a small room with a single window.
As they looked out, they saw the ghostly image of a battle raging below. They watched in horror as the soldiers fought and died once again, reliving the same battle over and over.
The friends fled the haunted Sinhagad Fort, vowing never to return. But the memory of the ghostly soldier and the endless battle haunted them for the rest of their lives.
