This was the most brilliant production of Little Women ever ! 😊 The entire casting was perfection - finally a Laurie true to Louisa May Alcott's book. Jonah Hauer- King truly WAS Laurie, in looks & with his masculinely elegant manner & charm. Bravo to the cast, crew, production designers & screenwriter -- all beautifully faithful to the original story. This is one show I can watch 100 times and still want more. Thank you also to PBS for showing this unsurpassed production. No other comes closer to the essence of this beautiful story. I was disappointed in Greta Gerwig's production. Not only was it choppy in it's annoying flashback format, but Timothee Chalamet as Laurie was a cringeworthy choice..
I liked this one out of the new adaptations, also the music was lovely in this one. Gerwig's version was very choppy and hard to follow though, hope they'll stop with the remakes, some of them are just sloppy copies of the previous ones or underdeveloped visions of the fim directors who try to add something new to the story but fail miserably.
maria13corvette only if it can be a mini series - the “recent” movie was a mess - there is so much story to be told that it has to be a mini series - who would be this generation’s Mr Darcy - Colin Firth is mine 🙂😉
Rachael Reviews nope - guess I’m more of a purest - if a story is written in a particular time period (1800 - 1810) then that’s when I want to see it filmed in - otherwise - write your own new story
The March sister's should have been wearing hoopskirts. Especially outside the home. They were cheap and easily available. Crinoline cages were even cheap enough for working-class women, enabling them to maintain the same fashionable silhouette as middle-class and upper-class women.
Well if you're into acting, why haven't started already!? Make your OWN Little Women world. Start a youtube channel or smth if you're passionate enough!
Actors had better speak in American Accent with at least 3 of the main women characters portrayed by American actresses. The setting is in the United States during the American Civil War. Laurie and Mr. Lawrence are Americans! They must have American Accent here.

It says a lot for the actors that I didn't realise some of them are British in their accents. Its a faultless production,and much less claustrophobic than the film versions.

I will always suggest this miniseries over any of the movies. I have watched it several times and I will watch it again.

Did you not see the beautiful 1995 mini series on A&E? It is available here and I cannot imagine it being done any better than that.
I can’t imagine a better version than 1995's. The film never compared in any way bar the lovely soundtrack.

2018 bad shown little women actor actrees could not under stand talk. could not act. 1949 was best. great actress and actor.
this wasn't 2018 though. this was 2017. 2018 was a whole different movie.
