YOU Saved my Project thank you so much. I cant imagine the time it took to do this. I have little experience in Arduino stuff and I had a hard time following other How to's And your comment from the diy machines channels led me here. Thank you so much and for the people who didn't get it after watching this video 3 times like me i am gonna leave a quick step by step guide translating the video
1. Wire your Hardware 2. Make sure it works with the Blink test code 3.download the files from online including the separate driver to make sure you pc reads the Wemos Wifi module 4. copy his library folders to yours (Watch for duplicates) 5. Input your RUclips api and channel Id both very easy to find and you can make an api within 1 min 6. ONCE THE code uploads yes you will get some error messages but as long as it uploads and says " wifi . . " then you are good to go to 7. OK and like magic open up your phone and yup go to your phone and click wifi,,, connect to your unit and log into your wifi (I couldn't Believe this part) 8. Bam watch the numbers go up. Thanks again for the tutorial I was about to put all these parts back in the bin because of all the RUclips api comment stuff saying it didn't work
When I saw this I got so excited to make it! I just ordered the pieces so can't wait! Just a question, I want to make this for a friend as a gift so if I test this with my wifi and then when i give it to my friend he would have to change the wifi in the arduino codes?
Brilliant, I have been trying to get this working from someone else's video for months. You've explained everything in detail for me to follow perfectly. thanks. One slight thing you might be able to help me with. Does it go up in 10's after 1000 Subs as mine says 1060 today and youtube says 1065? if you find a way to get it to count in 1's that would be great as I'm sad and get a sub every now and then so like to hear the buzz :D
Lol! I’m glad it worked for you. Unfortunately I’m not above 1000 subs yet! 50 more to go so I haven’t seen that bug yet. I’ll work on it and get back to you.
Was looking for a replacement AC adapter for my HDMI capture unit on Amazon. Ended up looking at "Elegoo" stuff, found out about this Arduino IDE thingy, the only thing I could think of making is a youtube subscriber count so I came to youtube and before I know it I'm looking at a new hobby.... which has disrupted yesterday's hobby of capturing footage and learning video production in DaVinci Resolve. I should probably focus on one thing.
Hi evChay ! I tried your code and I don't understand why I get 1073.6M each time! I double check all credentials (API key, Channel ID..) and nothing wrong.. Do you have an idea?
Hey! thanks for trying out the code! Does it show your sub count at all? I sometimes get that 1073.6M too. I 'll look into it. I think its because I'm calling the API again too fast.
Hey thanks for your guide massively helpful! I notice that every so often it will read 0 and then go back to showing current subs, I assume this is it fetching the new subscriber number again maybe? If so is there a way it could read the recent subscriber number whilst fetching? (So it doesn't look like it's changing as such). Thanks again it looks great :)
Thank you for watching. Glad it helped. It doesn’t go to zero on mine. I’ll look at it again. Comment out the Instagram section of code. Instagram blocks you for requesting data after a few hours.
@@evChay Exact. I uploaded the code to my esp8266 but after all the time he resets because Instagram blocks the IP address. I've heard that using APIs you can solve the problem only that I don't know how to place the bee token within the program. Does Instagram block me even if I delay every 30 minutes?

I tried following a few other videos without success, but it was easy to get it working with your video

2. Make sure it works with the Blink test code

Thank you! I’m glad the video helped and thanks for the steps for others to follower. My sub counter is still up and running in my garage.
Excellent guide! thank you very much!
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the feedback.
Nice job! Thx for the video!
How many digits are handle by the display with that code? 4? 5? 6? ?
I can’t remember lol. But it will display “10k” instead of “10,000”
Great Video... Fun project !!!!
Thank you!!
Worked spot on for me mate! Thanks
Awesome man! Glad it work for you!
NiCE!

Nope! He will use his phone to setup the wifi.
@@evChay Hey! Can you explain more plz as I'm new to all these so im not sure what you meant. Thanks man!

@@evChay Looks like your as bad as me and spend most of the night geeking on some project or other :D
Also I’ve just had it change display to 1073.6M any idea what that is?

Hahaha! Getting into Arduino stuff is a lot of fun!
Thanks a lot for your tutorial, would you mind sharing your STL file for the 3D Print ? Thanks
I found it on the Gdrive link ! thx
No problem! Enjoy!

@@evChay UnfortunateIy I get this each times..
I will try to increase delay to 100000 to see.
Let met know
It works for me. Make sure you activate the RUclips api
You also have to put your credit card information in the billing section
@@evChay I didn’t put card details anywhere and it works great although I do get the 1073.6M every now and then
What is the maximum digits subs for that one? nice buzzer addition.
Thank you! I want to say “999 M” but I may be wrong. You are limited to what you can display. 100,000 displays as “100K”. 1,000,000 displays a “1 M”

@@evChay Thanks for the fast reply brother, it has by itself stopped going back to zero now so it's all good!
Nice! Enjoy!
Can I use the same codes and steps if I'm a macbook user and not a windows user?
Yes the code for the ESP will work regardless of OS!
@@evChay IT FINALLY WORKED! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Awesome!!! Enjoy!
How fast does it take to update real time ?
I have it running every five seconds
Ehi Bro, I would use it for Instagram and not for youtu.be. Can you help me? Thank you very much😉
You can’t for Instagram, they block your IP address.

Maybe if you ping it once a day, it will work but it is very unlikely
@@evChay Is there no way to see how many requests can I make at most every hour?
@@tancredi_96 they will block you no matter what if you make repeat pings to their web server. Best bet is to get a code from them.
