YES! Your “Snippets from My Desk” are so therapeutic for me😂. I need a year of self talk to process this past year, but summer turns me into a zombie (abrupt gear-shift from the hyper focus of the academic year to two months of summer without any routine.) The WSIRN Archive is probably my favorite Patreon perk: a searchable database of all their episodes. It’s the sort of rabbit hole that shifts every time you access it, as your focus shifts. Thanks for sharing your journal sessions! ❤
i don’t like summer either! i don’t know many coping strategies as i struggle with the heat as well. a tip tho is i try to bring cold water everywhere i go in a water bottle that retains the temperature well. i’m sure you already thought of that but figured i would share. i always enjoy your videos, thanks so much for sharing!
I love summer in respects to there is excitement in the air because my kids are off from school and we get a break from the school routine and there is a little more freedom to finish work a little early or go for walks in the evening because it's light until 820pm. But my husband and I were talking that we don't remember as kids having summers as hot as they have been lately. But I agree it takes more planning to just got out especially when you have little kids and/or dogs that can't be out in the sun too long. I hope you still go on your adventure. You'll feel refreshed for sure. Thanks for the book podcast information. I commuted to NYC for 19 years and I used to read alot and since then I just haven't read even a 1/4 of what I used to.
I want to go outside too, but I have so many projects and I'm so often peopled out by the end of the week that I don't end up doing it! I also want to draw but one awful drawing has me giving up for months! It doesn't help that my husband is an artist and seems to do it so easily.
Summer... ugh... I get very depressed even at the thought of it... I am not happy or comfortable in sun or bright lights and blue skies. Clouds please!
Right now, we have the best weather, it's in the low 80s during the day, but it cools down for the night and there is a breeze throughout the day. OMG. This is the weather I want all year round.

I actually do like summer. We are going on a short vacation to the south of Germany in three days, so lets have some summer days! 🙃

I've decided to just go tomorrow. I can do this! And now that you're negative you should go outside too!

Winter doldrums (SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder) is real and respected. I think it is ok for us to not like summer too.
