Dope I was featured in the video! Cheers man. Yeah so a couple things of note: You can reset your paragon board points by holding down the "refund all" option on the paragon screen. Leveling next season is getting a major boosts to exp so you'll hit end game way faster. They're also completely overhauling many things but especially the helltide. Density as well as overall mechanics will make leveling a breeze. Especially if/when we team up again. We can blast through the early levels next season. Additionally, the gear chase will be far more rewarding early on as you'll be able to get uniques in lower tiers. Plus they've optimized the gear so there will be less confusion. We will also be able to trade legendary and unique items that are unworked. They also added greater affixes drops possibility to all pieces of gear. This basically means a couple of the rolls will be maxed out and that will be an endgame chase. Finding uniques and gear with perfect rolls then tempering/masterworking them to be even better. The way you upgrade gear was vastly improved. They also added more end game bosses and ways to get higher level powered gear. The pit is another end game thing to do. That's where you'll get the new masterworking materials from. Group play is the best way to go and it's way more fun imo. That's all on top of the new seasonal mechanics and story. It will be a banger and I'm pretty stoked. I think the final mention would be the expansion likely coming after season 5 or so. Whole new map, new class and likely more improvements.

if you feel that the last 25 levels are excruciating here in April 2024. boy you sure dodged a bullet, on launch and even up through season 1 getting to 100 was a drag consisting of hours and hours of NMD grind. its way faster now but still a grind and pretty fun regardless.
Phat review. Love the commentary and the editing.. The cut scenes look so rich and evocative. The game play itself, to an observer looks like a splurge of wtf is going on mayhem, but I guess when you're the one playing it makes sense. I like how you endeavour to pick the games you play up by their heels and try to shake out all the sweets.

For all thoae that dont like diablo 4 i can see why, youre comparing it to the older games, and i admittedly did the same during launch and season 1, 2. But if you just play it for what it is, then its, imho, a great game in its own rights, and come on, can anyone argue the graphics?

The VA for Lorath is so good. He voices Cid for Final Fantasy XVI and I love him in that game too. And I also wish there was a decision/choice for the final Act. I probably would have gone along with Lilith and all that, I was convinced lol 😅

fantastic video! I'm a bit in the same boat, though I'm not bored of the grind (yet). I like repetetive grinds things don't need to be overcomplicated or super hardcore all the time. I read so many negative things about this game, I had to pick it up (on gamepass) and man, I enjoy it so much. Skilltrees/Paragon and gearing are not overcomplicated, crafting is simple enough (looking at you POE...), the campain is some of the best I've seen, the classes are enjoyable and fun to play, and the worldbuilding/atmosphere/soundtrack in the game is fantastic. Rushers and Sweats don't like it, kids hate on it, I don't care because I enjoy it, I have fun and so I will play until it stops being fun for me. :-)

The best part of this video is that listening to your voice without subtitles has surprisingly shown me a drastic improvement in my listening skills, particularly for British accents (or Australian accent?). Cheers from an Indonesian Diablo 4 Player
For end-game, the key to it not feeling like a grind, is to not grind it... mix up and vary what you work on in sessions. So work on glpyhs sometimes in Vaults, etc. Then sometimes work on Helltides for upgrade materials and spawn mats, and same with the open world things like the seasonal activities. Also, if/when you follow/copy build guides, that can take a lot of the discovery out of the game play. So instead of spending time discovering and figuring things out, you may feel like the only thing you are doing with your time is leveling. Instead of leveling being a side effect of you spending time playing the game for a reason other than just leveling. I don't know if you experimented or followed a guide; just saying. Usually when I mix things up, I get about 1-2 levels every time I play. And it gradually just goes up . Gearing and tweaking for Uber Lilith is/wave another phase of experimentation and build growth with learning the fight and adjusting the build to that fight specifically (eg. stacking movement speed etc). That can also take a while, as farming alternate gear and tweaking them can be another goal/activity.
Cheers mate. Yeah I started mixing between vaults hellrides n stuff. I’m actually gonna give pvp a proper go soon too. I haven’t followed a guide dude as I wanted to learn the mechanics myself. My druid is hitting like an an absolute truck which is great but think I gotta re work my paragon board on some more defence and resistance stats
@@aggymatt OK cool, good to hear you did your own discovery. That's the best way to really learn the nuances and enjoy it imo. Yea, paragon re-works are normal as you go. Because the ideal/viable config changes depending on how many points you have access to. Even flipping around board order/sequence. My board path/order at L70 looked very different than my boards at FL85, and then changed up again at 95+.

just earned a subscriber....seem like everyone was bashing the game again and again. I particularly tried on a free trial (play till lvl 20) and I found it fun. Always forgot to grab the waypoints lol.
Nice mate!!!! I really enjoyed my time with it as a new player to the series and game genre. Did about 150 hours in the end till I moved on but looking forward to playing the expansion. 100 hours is longer than Alan Wake 2, Resident Evil 4 and Spider Man 2 Combined. D4’s Campaign is better than most Campaign Only, single player games. And it’s the best playing and best looking ARPG.

I didn’t find their were problems a such on my run with the game mate. More the end game cycle. They introduced new Weapon mechanics and re rolls and a continuous helltide mode. I will be revisiting Diablo 4 when the expansion comes out in October
If ya want add me but to talk end game it's way too much to do in a chat. I've got over 26 days in the game. I've got a barb hitting for over 10 million crit and handling level 80 through 90 pits
That's a Diablo game alright. They are fast paced and entertaining in early and mid game with a good story/cinematics, then turn into absolute grind fests at the end. But that is kind of the point of ARPG's. To reach end game and grind and grind and grind to get better and better gear till you feel like a God, then create a new character and do it all over again.
I do agree the the campaign were the best part about the game, endgame is kinda mixed bag at the moment. Unlike S2, S3 is totally mid & snoozefest IMO. But hopefully, S4 will be better than any of the previous seasons (judging from many PTR reviews it probably will be all thanks to brand new reworks for itemazations, crafting systems, helltides and the pits).

Too bad D4 has still been considered "beta" pre-S4 due to delays because of layoffs and corporate restructuring from my analysis so S4 might be where v1.0 is as ppl are saying. Having said that, if you want more arpg depth, Last Epoch would provide that with a lot more skill diversity & more interesting loot & a godly loot filter imo. Only con would be less superior graphics.

Imo diablo games were bout trading, farming for runes, items and endgame ofc but the in game items in d4 are d3s items i saw rhykers video. PoE2 has massive issues after people played it - they have a hell of a lot to sort out - POE2 will suffer the same things as D4 anLE - not enough content when it releases, it will be good for 6 week then the love will die off to around 15k concurrent players D4 will still be at around 100k min LE now has lost 90% of its player base in 2 months D4 still has 4 times as many player as PoE an LE combined (and its been slated) - does that mean its better? that's up to the individual IMO PoE is totally bloated and full of crap and mostly rubbish LE is Dying because zero end game (crafting is by far the best than the other 2) all diablo games and ARPGs are the same kill monsters, upgrade gear - that is it, that's all you do, so to say one is better than the other is personal choice they are all good and bad at the same time
Not all players going there, just another "I'm a d2 vet" dude complaining. It's far from perfect but it's still an enjoyable experience and at least the devs are trying to fix things and are responding to the community. It really doesn't matter what they do bc someone will always complain

I'm just starting endgame , finished the campaign at lv. 52 barbarian and the bosses are way to easy and boring , hopefully they get better in tier 3

There is a reset paragon button on Xbox you just hold X like the skill tree reset button

I didn’t find their were problems a such on my run with the game mate. More the end game cycle. They introduced new
Weapon mechanics and re rolls and a continuous helltide mode. I will be revisiting Diablo 4 when the expansion comes out in October

That's a Diablo game alright. They are fast paced and entertaining in early and mid game with a good story/cinematics, then turn into absolute grind fests at the end. But that is kind of the point of ARPG's. To reach end game and grind and grind and grind to get better and better gear till you feel like a God, then create a new character and do it all over again.
I spent around 10 hrs in Diablo 3, so I'm not new-new, but I thought 4 was a much better experience. Like you say, the story sucks you in.
So much hate for a decent game.
I do agree the the campaign were the best part about the game, endgame is kinda mixed bag at the moment. Unlike S2, S3 is totally mid & snoozefest IMO. But hopefully, S4 will be better than any of the previous seasons (judging from many PTR reviews it probably will be all thanks to brand new reworks for itemazations, crafting systems, helltides and the pits).

Too bad D4 has still been considered "beta" pre-S4 due to delays because of layoffs and corporate restructuring from my analysis so S4 might be where v1.0 is as ppl are saying. Having said that, if you want more arpg depth, Last Epoch would provide that with a lot more skill diversity & more interesting loot & a godly loot filter imo. Only con would be less superior graphics.
Yeah I’ve looked into last epoch mate. I’ve joined their creator programme and just waiting on some final stuff from them. I can’t wait to try that! I don’t mind less superior graphics mate as long as gameplay is there I’m a happy man

Diablo 4 is worst diablo they ever done im a d2 vet and i got bored of it by lvl 16. Path of exile 2 gona smash this game outta existence lol and last epoch all d4 players goin there me included n not returning to crap d4
I feel ya but wtf was diablo 2? It was a grind fest with the same kind of towns. It was definitely easier to get with other players and I wish they would address that.

@@pokermitten9795 not like d4 is but d2 you could trade and interact with ppl have 8 man teams. Plus d2 got grindy if ya wanted to get lvl 90+. Imo they could have handled d2r bit better but they did a gj on graphics. To me d4 is d3.5 immortal with brightness turned down lol has d3s combat imo worst combat ever. Imo diablo games were bout trading, farming for runes, items and endgame ofc but the in game items in d4 are d3s items i saw rhykers video. Id rather play immortal than d4 and thats saying something lol. I think ill wait till end of season now and see the full game. I'm getting that last epoch though.

I'm a d2 vet and titan quest immortal throne vet (same devs from diablo 2) tqit still better than d4 bro if u not played it its great think diablo in ancient Greece, China and babylon setting and has builds relics (runes) items upto legendary. Ba k to point d4 is a sp online game with no interaction self found gear has d3 itemizeation and stats on items I didnt mind parts of d3s campaign I hated d3 and its combat wich d4 is dressed up to be as even immortal is better than d4. D4 getting hate coz its not a diablo game anyone who likes d4 isnt a diablo player d3 was warcraft meets sp d4 is more of same boring no interaction or trading with anyone and if ya do find someone they ignore you like ur not there even immortal had interaction screw this excuse of a diablo game
PoE2 has massive issues after people played it - they have a hell of a lot to sort out - POE2 will suffer the same things as D4 anLE - not enough content when it releases, it will be good for 6 week then the love will die off to around 15k concurrent players D4 will still be at around 100k min
LE now has lost 90% of its player base in 2 months
D4 still has 4 times as many player as PoE an LE combined (and its been slated) - does that mean its better? that's up to the individual
IMO PoE is totally bloated and full of crap and mostly rubbish
LE is Dying because zero end game (crafting is by far the best than the other 2)
all diablo games and ARPGs are the same kill monsters, upgrade gear - that is it, that's all you do, so to say one is better than the other is personal choice they are all good and bad at the same time
Not all players going there, just another "I'm a d2 vet" dude complaining. It's far from perfect but it's still an enjoyable experience and at least the devs are trying to fix things and are responding to the community. It really doesn't matter what they do bc someone will always complain
