    Just finished watching tutorial twice. I watched once to get used to the pattern, and a second time with pauses to actually make the sweater. This was easy to do without looking at a pattern just like you said!! It was so easy and fun to make. Thank you for such a beautiful and free pattern. I really love this piece, and will be making more. Everyone should try this pattern!!

      I'm stuck at the separating of the sleeve from the body and whatever she does next to keep joining the sleeves. I just can't see what she's doing very well. 🤦‍♀️ I should have read and watched all the way through once before beginning, but sadly I didn't. I'm super disappointed bc I'm making it for a MIL for her Christmas gift. 😭

    I LOVE this pattern! Since retiring recently, I have made 6 sweaters using your beautiful pattern! As you have stated the neck was too wide (too sexy)
    for me so I fixed that with single crochet using smaller hook then decreasing every few stiches. Thank you

    I've been wanting to make this ever since you came up with this beautiful pattern. Back then i couldn't afford it, now that i can, i was indeed skeptical at first, but, I've finally mustered up courage and started it yesterday. It looked quite complicated before i started and was wondering if i could actually do it. Now that I've actually started making it, it doesn't look that difficult anymore & is quite easy to follow.
    I can't thank you enough for this beautiful masterpiece. Thank you so so much 🥰

      I used a fingering weight yarn and I don't remember what size hook.... Maybe a 4mm. I followed instructions for a medium because I didn't want it as boxy. I crochet a bit loose. I followed the instructions from her website. I haven't actually watched the video, to be honest. The neck on mine did end up stretching so that it fits looser now.

    Is it correct that you get an extra st at the back where you join the row with the slip st? So actually you have 2 times 9 dc and 1 time 10 in the back (because of the slip st)? Thank you!!

  • @abigailsmith6977
    @abigailsmith6977 11 месяцев назад +1

    I purchased the PDF so I could print it out , but the PDF does not match this video. In the video you start each round with regular dc’s, but on the printed version, you start each round with the INC. I am totally confused and can’t figure out how to transition to the next round!

    • @ByKaterinaDesigns
      @ByKaterinaDesigns  11 месяцев назад

      The written version was indeed updated and unfortunately I didn't manage to update the video. In the new version of the PDF I start the round into the right raglan increase to avoid having the joining line in the middle of the back. That is why the round starts with ch5, and 1dc in the same st ( first ch3 count as first dc). The rest of the increases will be 1dc, ch2, 1dc. When you start a new round you join into the third ch and slip st into the middle of the increase (the separating ch2) to start the round from there. If is not clear for you, please send me an e-mail at contact@by-katerina.com and I will help you out

    This is a very nice pattern, but the first pattern round is cofusing. I wish you would have laid the whole work on the table, and explained where the corners and pattern windows are. As I understand it , the (1dc, chain2, 1dc ) create the 4 corners, and the other so called windows are the start of the diament pattern. But I am a visual person and need to see the whole picture. You explain everything very clearly , exept for that part. I also wish that you could answer our questions. Thank you for all the work you put in to this video.

    • @ByKaterinaDesigns
      @ByKaterinaDesigns  5 лет назад

      the first round pattern is with 9 dc and 1 window. You will have 3 diamonds base on the front side and back side and 2 on sleeves. The round start in the middle of the second diamond base and before corner you have to make a window. You start with 31 sts for back and front and 21 for sleeves. You have to follow the diamonds pattern per section to be more easy.

      It's true that the written pattern was updated and unfortunately, I couldn't update the tutorial. In the written pattern I start the yoke into the increase corner for hiding the joining line. So you are starting with an increase ch3 is the first dc and 2 more cha for the separating ch of the increase.

    Hi Katerina, thank you for the beautiful pattern. Do you have a gauge swatch for this? I can't see it on your website. It would help me massively as I am planning to use a DK yarn. Thank you x
