I tumbled my saw offcuts for two months with just water and no grit to see what would happen and strangely enough some of them achieved a very respectable shine.
I'm still trying to decide what to do with all the little chips you end up with when you cut rocks on a wet saw and I think I may be onto something.
I love your display idea! I could watch that rock roller for hours. Excellent, creative use of the leftover bits. ❤
Thank you Jeannie, yes it really is quite mesmerising 😀
Those small rocks embedded in clear epoxy would make a super table. Maybe embed some LEDs as well. At any rate, it's very nice to see what you've done. 👍
Thanks John they sure would but like my reply to OffYaRocka . . . it does sound like a lot of hard work . . . to which I have a real aversion 😆
I'd love to run my hands through those colourful rocks too. 😁
I agree with one of the other comments which said you should put them into epoxy to make an awesome table, it'd be soooo pretty!
It really is a very tactilely and visually pleasing hobby ☺
That was fun video from a guy in his 70's. I have collected many rocks and fossil's over the last 45 years and found this video fun to watch. Thank you. As I moved around the world I would donate my findings to a local university to do with what they want. My fun was finding them. Most would say we do not buy them. And I replied I do not sell them but they are yours to do what you want. And tell them where I found them if they asked. I really enjoyed finding different walking fish in the Philippines and Guam and a few other places in that area of the world. I looked for interesting things where i turned up. Like I tell my grand children " I had a good life "
Good on ya Bob, I find it incredible how much joy something as simple as rocks and minerals can bring into someone's life 😀
Awesome little experiment 🤔🤔🤔 Loved the display jar at the end 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks Mahnee, I'm thinking maybe I could make kaleidoscopes . . . but it sounds like hard work 😆
@@paulhardie That would be super cool and colourful 🤩🤩🤩
Hey Mahnee, I'm about to go find some rocks for you, I'll email what I find 👍
@@paulhardie WooooooHoooo doing my happy dance hehehehe
Amazing looking rocks!!! Just nothing kewler then Rocks!!! :)
Found something that reminds me of a Tektite in my area of Southern Alberta. Everyone seems to think its a Carnelian but I dont think it is as its got burnt like surface to it that is kinda blued and is full of craters like most Tektites. Wont scratch glass either. I named the vid "Carnelian scratches glass, this does not, something strange is going on here." :)
Thank you, what type of fool doesn't enjoy rocks ? 😄
I watched your video and to me it seems like a plain ol' Agate, I have a few that have those rough dimples all over, it depends on the hollow they formed in I guess . . . please don't hate me 😣
@@paulhardie Oh awesome, thanks for checking it out.. Its super strange and we have almost zero agates here so I guess its a win either way :)
Regarding comments not shown I can understand it. Why because I myself don’t get notifications from You The Tube from time to time. Boy you do have lovely Rocks. And we wanted to purchase, however because you didn’t see our request to purchase, we purchased elsewhere Mate. Anyway I resubscribed to your channel.
Thank you, if you want any rocks in the future it's best to email me at :
print@westnet.com.au 👍
I say run them through the vibe and polish them!
Hi Abby, I think that's what I'll probably end up doing, using them as filler rocks, I like the fact I don't have to do much 😆
Buy a gold fish be very colourful gravel in the tank. surprising how they rounded off without any grit added to the mix.
Goldfish sound like hard work . . . see my replies to OffYaRocka, AbbyW and ColdPond 😆
Even more surprising was the gloss on a lot of the Mookaite, no grit, just water and rocks 😲
Polish and sell in little bags. Yours is way better quality to what is sold in the popular "crystal scoops " online!
Another possibility, thank you ☺
happy tumbling🤣🤣👍👍
Hey Saverio, I got your payment, thank you, do you want me to send the rocks to the same address as before ?
@@paulhardie hi Paul, yes please. thanks🤙
@@saveriospadone6757 I'll send them off tomorrow 👍
@@paulhardie thanks, Paul
@@paulhardie Hi Paul, can you please give me the tracking number, thanks
