Pikes Peak Amateur Radio Emergency Service: ARES Deployment High Park Fire May 2022 Radio Operator

This video will cover the High Park Fire in Teller County May 2022. Pikes Peak Amateur Radio Emergency Service (PPARES) deployment. I served as a Radio Operator assigned to the Rocky Mountain Complex Incident Management Team Type II assigned to the High Park Fire. I will cover the layout of the incident as well as basic Incident Command System terminology and function.

I did that in 2021 on a local incident. Did RDO for a National Type 1 IMT through our local club since the team was having a hard time filling RDO requests. With my previous wildland fire experience I was able to get the task book signed off. I will be with a local Type 3 team this year doing RDO.
