You’ve done a very impressive review of this axe. I’ve watched you work with this axe more than most men would do in a lifetime. You’ve definitely put the axe to the test in every application for a very valuable review for those interested in purchasing a durable tool to keep around the shop. Thank you for the mention and I look forward to seeing what’s next. Stay safe

Yes sir...I admire your past work as well as your current pursuits of cabin, fish, and game...that may appeal to many of my viewers...as well as being an American Warrior family...

Right back at you Mr. Killinger, I personally like to do a considerable amount of demonstration. I have found that data silences critics, especially in sawdust, board feet, linear miles, metric tons, and axe chips...I appreciate you watching sir...

Thanks for the review Brian. It seems like a good workhorse that has its place in the axe world. I remember watching the Work Axe series from Bushcraft Sisyphus, he did a great job deconstructing and customizing that axe.

6000 plus swings you definitely gave it a beating! Awesome review. I was curious how that guard would affect the slide hand, cheers for adressing that. Cool that after that amount of work that the high-viz paints still holding up, still looks new. Gotta love stihl gear, my little stihl hatchets close to 9 years and still holding up too. Great work Mr B! 👍👍🪓
Ps. Voracious is my new favourite word, awesome 😁

Awesome review Mr. Brian. I also enjoyed your one liners. If I were Stihl, I would try to entice you to be the face behind their products in all of their advertising and publications.

That is honorable Mr. Brett. I have submitted a few #STIHLPROCHALLENGE videos in the past. That would be nice for a minute I guess... Thank you for watching Mr
      Brett...

I will pass along my recommendation of stripping the factory finish off the handle and applying multiple coat of oil every time it’s used for about a year. Any wooden handle tool used on a consistent basis should be stripped of the factory finish. The oiled wood is much softer and easier on the hands. Don’t be afraid to shape the handle to fit your individual grip.

You are very correct on this as well sir, a good number of my axe viewers are highly versed in this knowledge as well....very sage sir...

Well done buddy, I’ve used one for a few years. For me I use it almost strictly as a wedge banger. Why, because when the damn thing showed up the chopping end was BLUNT and I still haven’t fully sharpened it but it’s at a functional point.

Yes sir Mr Aaron, it took me a considerable amount of time to tune but once it was there, it was there...I know what you mean sir, it would bruise before it cut from the factory...thank you sir for watching....

Excellent review ! Thank you ! I have looked at those at the saw shop but really didnt give them much thought. Do they have a stamped head weight ?
I have the 600 gram hatchet and I got my wife the 1000 gram Stihl axe. And have been thinking of getting the 1250 gram Oschenkopf axe to try out.
Next time im in a Stihl shop ill look the UFA over much better.
