Today we are replacing the Dodge Chargers Window Switch. Specifically the master, or driver side front. If your buttons break or the auto feature goes out, usually it's suspect to replace the switch. I'll show how easy it is with just prying them up and out. Stay tuned.
Mast switch aftermarket part number is 14551969 which replaces the stock OEM 68139805AD
NOTE: look up the OEM part number 68139805AD first. It is a better part number to search for pricing wise.
I'll replace a rear one on the passenger side, but both rears look to be the same, aftermarket part number DWS1723 for OEM 56046832AC.
You are a LIFE SAVER... my driver window button broke. In a panic, I called a mechanic. Almost $200.. Auto Zone wanted $180 for the part alone! I got the part online, waited a few days and LITERALLY popped it in and out thanks to your video. I cant thank you enough!

Thank you for this video. You saved me so much money. Next I have fix my left blinker that I have to hold to stay on and manually turn off, my trunk that will no open with the fob or trunk button, and review camera that comes on but only see black and lines
Great video! I just fixed mine using this. I did have to take the old switch out of the enclosure after I popped it out which ended up being a hassle because someone GLUED one of the ends. But I'm so glad I watched this before I decided to take the entire door panel off lol.

Thanks for the info my window on my drivers side is doing the same thing as your passenger side window. Figures it's supposed to rain too😮 but I got it covered until I can get the part.
No problem 👍They are prone to it. I've just replaced another in a different door. I just did them in pairs in rear only because I have kids back there.

Literally had my window stuck all the way down. Took the switch out, used an Allen wrench to pull it back up and when I'm able I'll replace the whole piece. Keep calm yall. You can handle this on your own🤘🏾🤙🏾
You the man🫡🫡 my passenger button broke and took less than 5 minutes. Got mine on Amazon for about $27 . Only think I hate about the Amazon one… is the illumination is blue instead of white 😩😩 . Other than that it was quick and easy install.

My switch stopped working on my charger yesterday when i let the window down, and it was a cold ride home. Then it worked today. I think I will take it apart and clean any crud and see if that fixes it. If not I'll replace the whole thing since that looks pretty easy.
Yeah definitely comes apart so see if you can clean it up.
Hey bro, i just got a 2010 charger sxt and the driver window seems a bit slow going up, and the 3 passenger windows don't work and they feel "loose"

Very informative just had that particular thing break today on my 2016 charger. On my passenger front door the inner panel warped. I have seen quite a few with same problem. How do I get that panel off to replace. Dealership wants 900 for just door panel not including labor.
There are just of few screws in the little pop out handle and arm rest area. Everything else is body plastic clips around the circumference of the door. And then it lifts up a little at the weather strip. It's easy to take the whole door panel off. There is a lever clip for the handle as well. For the door window assemblies, none of that is needed. They just lift out with a plastic tool. Only clips hold those in.
Same thing just happen to me . My switch would let me put it down but not bring it back up
My driver door lock won’t unlock and lock automatically anymore I’m trying to see what i need to change out

Only my passenger window works. The driver door controls don’t work at all and my rear windows don’t work even with their own controls. I was fooling around with the side mirror adjustments on the driver door control and when I went too adjust the mirror it turned off the radio and still didn’t work. I have a 06 charger rt Daytona top banana
Mine was playing stupid for two weeks. It went down but I had to pull Hard to make the window come up. Well, I broke it today. 😅. And it still goles down,, but not up anymore.
The button is on a hinge, small, and delicate. Two tiny arms stick down that allow it to toggle the switch. You can remove the entire switch, and then remove the cover by gently prying each lock tab on each side. Then you can operate the switch with the cover off, and the buttons free. At this point, if pieces are there, I would buy another-cheaply, and use the guts. You can ride with it hanging for a bit, but it won't seat in without the top cover.

@@brandondotcomtrades Nah, Bro. I made 3 attempts which lets me know I actually need the window motor. The lock/unlock panel as well as the side mirror control panel has worked since purchase (2015) without fail, but the window controls became nonresponsive the end of last year (2019).

I'm certain it would have worked without discrepancy if the window motor wasn't the issue, so if nothing else, this may definitely prove to be a great diagnostic method💪🏾😎👍🏾

If it rolls down on the other side switch then yes. Now they run about $25 on Amazon.

Yes, they are really all the same except 2010 and below.
Are the parts for the 2014 and 2017 Charger power window switch interchangeable? They look the same.
I'm pretty sure. But beware, some after market ones light up either white, blue or even green. If your old switch is just broken from the housing(plastic clicks don't work anymore) then swap the guts out. I had to do that on one of them.

I'm have to go get a flat head screwdriver and pop out passenger side switch because my button broke and my window is about 3/4 down and don't want to leave this like this all night. Driver side master is broken too

So my passenger window will roll down but will not roll back up and I replaced the passenger motor it’s still doing the same thing and from the driver switch it will not roll up my passenger window but all the other windows work please help
Does the passenger window not roll up on either switch passenger or driver? Does pulling up on the switch on the driver side click or is it loose? It's usually not the motor if it goes down but not back up. It's usually the signal switch wire going to that door. I'll be at usually it's in the switch itself that won't come back up. The best test would be replacing the passenger door switch if that one doesn't allow it to go back up because it's cheaper switch to test with. the master on the driver door would be more expensive. you can pop one of the rear door switches and plug it in to the passenger to see if the signal switch in the actual switch which will let it go back up and down.

@@thebayareastandout well Jason even the Broken Ones Still click it's a plastic retainer clip that goes across the button underneath that breaks but it still clicks like it works. Ultimately I was able to use one of my other connectors just to test that theory out but once I took apart the switch then I learned how it was built and it's cheaply built for the plastic.
@@TechReviewbyIrdi autozone gave me the impression that the motor is making the click sound and that the switch is obviously working because a message is being sent to the motor and that the regulator is the "middle man" in the system.

@@SONIDOTEQUILA2000 there's a tiny piece in the button that snaps. You can replace the buttons if you get a loaner switch that may be bad. But that's a pain. Still, if you find one, take it apart.

Yes, very simple. I did the 2 rear ones recently as well. My kids ended up breaking one, so I got both anyways.
Do you know of this will work for a '16 Challenger? Hell, I'll even take the door apart. I refuse to pay the dealership $325. They quoted 1.5 hours of labor to switch out a damn switch!

Not to say this video was useless but I have a 2016 challenger dodge and my window button got stuck upwards and I legit couldn’t fix it long story short I litterly beat the shit out of it with my phone and it fixed it soo yeah
