@@BlondieinChina In my street (in Berlin) i showed the malatang restaurant owners your videos as well and she told me that she now also watches your videos :D
As a Chinese person living in Berlin, I received tips about Chinese food in Berlin from an Australian. What an international collaboration! Thanks, Amy!
"The word Markthalle literally means a market that's in a hall. Which is what we basically have here", is such a German introduction to this place and had me cackling 💀💀💀
Oh my gosh, not only are your parents adorable, so are your in-laws! Jackpot! 😊 I'd love a huge plate of that sauerkraut and pork, one of my favourite combos that my German Grandparents used to serve.
coming from a dysfunctional family where we do more screaming than talking in the household, it's so weird seeing someone have such supportive parents and in-laws who crack jokes and everything.
I think it's lovely to see how eager Derk is about this friendly spousal competition. It may just be his personality, or can seem trivial to some, but I find it endearing that he's genuinely having a fun time with you while also contributing to your job. I hope you will continue to love and treasure each other like this for life! And of course, shoutout to your wonderful in-laws ❤
Blondie, Ive followed u since 2019 at least and these days you have never looked so gorgeous! You are glowing, happy. Hair is gorgeous! So happy for you girly ❤❤❤ thanks for the awesome vids xxx
I was smiling through this whole video 😁 It was very wholesome and entertaining 😁 Also hearing you go; scheiße! 😂 That German pork looked like fire tho! I once was at a German farmers wedding where they had a whole roast pig on a spit, they for sure know how to get that right! Absolutely amazing 🤤👌
Omg I first went to this market like 10 years ago before I moved here and had the best time. Now I've been living in Berlin for over 7 years and this video wrirdly brought me so many memories. Thanks ❤
Absolutely LOVED this video!! I’ve followed you along for years and the videos with Derk are my favourites because of your incredible chemistry. This is just next level wholesome and funny. SO hilarious and German how proper, competitive and strategic the family got hahah. Bless you all. ❤
I love this channel! Thank you Amy for all the highly interesting and mouthwatering adventures and the joy you bring! :-) Your in laws are very nice people. This episode is such an awesome experience to me: an australian woman who lives in China recommending international food while visiting my home country. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Please do more berlin content! Love seeing you in my hometown! You should try Aroma at Kantstr - the chinese locals eat there and they have authentic chinese food, even things germans would be hesitant to eat. Its sooo good!
If you want to eat some great Chinese food in Berlin I recommend: -Feast in Charlottenburg -Lanzhou Beef Noodles in Friedrichshain Cozymazu in Moabit has fantastic Taiwanese dishes.
I love you Amy T-T u're so bright, chat like an old friend who moved to a new city and wants to show you their favorite spots when you visit them, and u're so nice and thoughtful
Wow Amy, just finished watching a 140 videos of you and Derk and both your families. So nice, so interesting and as a foodie myself for 99% it all looks so tasty, maybe except for the Beijing fermented bean soup. And China is amazing in so many ways you also show on your channel. Still have lots of the older videos you made to watch which I will do in the coming weeks. And I will watch and enjoy every new video coming up as well. Greetings from The Netherlands to you all. 😊👍😊
As a person living in Berlin Markthalle 9 is a great place to go! Especially on Thursday night as it is street food night, so more vendors than usually. You really should have tried the manti! Also the pasta place is really good too! They are both really good - besides I’d love to have seen you try the soup dumplings! See what you think of them!
Pia is so not what I personally imagine a "Berliner" looks like! She looks so sweet and colorful! 🥰 tho, I've only been to Germany twice, so maybe that's why. 😅😂
Hi Amy ! I always look forward to your food adventures with great admiration! Like you I am addicted to Chinese food, my wife is Chinese! We live in Belgium, we go to China every year, this year we are there from March 2nd to April 13th .......... We have family in Guangzhou , Guilin and Nanning !! I hope to meet you there sometime !! I wish you much more eating pleasure in China !! 😊🤗
Funny, when I see Amy in Europe, I think Asian girl in Europe introducing her inlaws to Asian food. Then I realize, oh damn Amy has European ancestors. 😆
Berlin is an amazing city .. I love it ... even tho i do not think its your style you should shock some of the Chinese folk in Germany with you speaking with them ( unless they follow you ) .. love the vlog btw .. made me smile
@BlondieinChina Hahaha, welcome to Germany & guten Schmatz! ;) But Spätzle isn't Bavarian style, but typical neighboring Swabian food, here in a Bavarian variation. ;) Nice to see you happy in Berlin! Greetings from Munich! 😎
That market looks incredible! The jianbing seems similar to the one I tried in San Francisco, where the dough tastes like a brown flour and is full of lettuce! Whereas the version I remember from China and what I was looking for has youtiao and is...doughy/eggier? I wonder if it is Shandong vs Tianjin styles?
Amazing how u gone Berlin in a random food court, the Chinese vendor recognized you and also a fan! Amazing
Definitely the last thing I expected!!!!
