Can't hear this song without a moments reflective pause, eyes moistening, thinking of all the song has meant to so many, and being thankful for music as a way to touch and express so much emotional truth to so many.....
We should also when listening reflect on the person who introduced it, Dame Vera Lynn who died this June 18th at age 103. In April she was part of a London stage group singing this song to aid those in the pandemic.
Been loving these sessions since I stumbled upon them a month ago. This time I just have to say much respect to the clarinet guys Noel Kaletsky and Dan Levinson. Your harmony is just sublime.
Öröm lehet ebben a zenekarban játszani. Látszik a zenészeken, hogy magok is élvezik a kitűnő produkciót, és mennyire azonosulnak társaik muzsikájával. Kitűnő ritmusú, jó hangulatú zenét játszanak , mosolyogva, könnyedén, a közönség szórakoztatására. Így érdemes muzsikálni.
What a wonderful presentation-a nice beat and so easy to listen too at just the right balance of instruments. Thank you for sharing your wonderful presentation. 👍🎼😁🇦🇺🦘 wish I could play my clarinet this well!
TAN TAN : I agree for distancing but once we are two metres apart or at home it’s very appropriate. Queen Elizabeth II in her recent pandemic speech told everyone that when it was over that we will meet again. In response, a group of London theatre performers and including Dame Vera Lynn sang We’ll Meet Again for the many people in isolation or quarantine or shut down. They all sang or played from home and the video shows them either individually or on slit screen performing. Dame Vera said a few words of introduction and a short conclusion at the end. The remarkable lady was 103 years old in March and of course made the song famous during WW II. It is available on RUclips.
Takes me back so many years, air raid shelters as a child in the 40’s my band style too. 👍🎷🎺🇬🇧🇦🇺🦘
magnifique !

I can't hear it without thinking of Doctor Strangelove.

Somebody needs to check that dude that sat down to see if he has lice. Oh no way. That's green shirt dude from the Billy Strings video.
This does not work for social distancing.
