  • This week Mark Peterson travels to Zimbabwe to chase a Cape Buffalo. Mark arrives in the early season so the vegetation is very thick and that can make it difficult to find a big bull in the open to go after. Mark and the guys play cat and mouse with a herd for a couple of days before they had to change their tactics up to get a little closer.

Zimbabwe PH's are up there with the best in the world. Zimbabwe hunting is also up there with the best in the world - real "wild" stalk & shoot hunting, none of that farmed wildlife that the South Africans do. Excellent bull & you put in the prerequisite effort to get a magnificent animal, well deserved.

Buffalo hunts are crazy cool….I went hunting in Africa for my first time in May my dad got a crazy good waterbuck and I got a wildebeest and a Diker it was so much fun … I do leather craft as a saddle smith apprentice and I learned that Cape buffalo leather is vary available so I think one day I’m going to make some saddles out of Cape buffalo!

Very nice bull for sure! I'm guessing you were using a 375 H & H? You should add your rifle, scope, and ammo information in the video info for up gear nuts.

Great bull, and an equally good shot. I see your Dad was hunting with Mokore and your first scenes were in their SVC camp. Hunted there in 2019 shot a nice buffalo. Who was your PH?

The thing about these hunting videos in Africa some guys are good shots and some are not. I would say to those that take bad shits don't go to Africa. A couple good shots give them like half a minute to drop walk up on them slow they will dead most likely. The hunters that take shits from bad angles those bad shots just piss it off and make situation dangerous.

While I fail to see the attraction of killing an animal what never did me any harm, one must give the devil his due. Without controlled, well regulated game hunting, more species would be endangered, the gene pools would be smaller, wilderness areas would be turned over to developers. Also these enterprises generate employment in countries where joblessness is devastating.
