ah hell the organizational flag is the only one that is authorized to be carried along with the american flag. Not states, not anything else. Read the freaking manual
In which Manual? the "organizational color" includes the unit, state, branch, or specialty flag. If you couldn't have a non-unit color, then sports color guards, all ceremonial color guards (not associated with a specific unit), or any other event that requires a guard (competition or other) would be impossible and outside of regulation.
hey, respectfully, don't go into unit's drill performance videos and start babling about a state flag. unless you have an actual manual you can refence, then i wouldn't be going into posts saying "read the freakin manual" as that can be taken negatively.

Regulation tc3-21.5 and cc145-2 is the manuals where you are able to carry the state colors which is alowed
