as a 1st Sgt in the Jrotc program i always like to watch these videos and see how to better myself and see how to do things and learn new things. Great presentation!
@@zachsinsight It’s a bit intimidating i will say myself. You just have to trust yourself and your commander if you not giving commands. But after a bit it is pretty fun
As a LET 2 in drill team I am proud to say this is the greatest team I’ve ever seen in my life, my team doesn’t even know how to be in sync and this is just awesome Edit: Currently a LET 4, as well as an armed drill captain, and I’m still impressed by this video to this day, our school uses this video to make our marching and movements look sharp. Crazy how time flies, huh?
@@nc9869 and I would like to say you are most definitely right I couldn’t point a single flaw, that was the best I’ve ever seen in my entire life if I say so myself
A+ for preparation, presentation, dedication, effort , discipline stamina, focus, concentration ,,,wishing the clientele at my work would be as exact as them with their ordering!
As a marine, some of those army commands sounded so odd to my ear and saying “yes, first sgt” in response to a command sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Solid drill performance though.
Hearing someone say 'yes' to a command always got to me. It doesn't make any sense. Thankfully, we have the 'aye aye' so that Marines never have to sound like they don't understand how the English language works. Semper Fi.
Right off the bat.... extremely over-exaggerated arm swing. Tone it down. The commander's manual of arms with the sabre is wrong for his present and order. You go straight from the face, to point at the ground, and vice versa.... not make a big elliptical between the two movements. Refresh on your manual and don't add unnecessary flourishes. Inspection Arms, while snappy and on point, it is also incorrect. It is a 5 count movement. Port Arms is correct however. All in all it was a pretty solid performance.
You can email me at gage.fanta@gmail.com. A much better resource would be John Marshall aka the DrillMaster. He is a former army/air force ceremonial guardsman and runs a coaching business as well as a website, instagram, and facebook page with mulitple resources and educational tidbits. His opinion and knowledge is extremely respected. I'd recommend checking him out.
The only thing I noticed was that your legs aren’t parallel to the deck when you mark time. I don’t believe it’s points off for not doing that. But it sure does make it look clean... :) loved it, 👍🏻
Commander calls things way too fast, he sets the pace for the counts hence the counts being too fast. He’s rushing the platoon. Also arm swing is way too exaggerated.

Same. I’m a drill commander and lieutenant Colonel and I still look for ways to improve
I’m a freshman who just join AFJROTC. Honestly I’m kinda scared to go to my first comp. is it as bad as it looks?

I’m a Let 1, here we go..
Dang their drill is sharp
you never hear anyone say that anymore
Amazing military bearing. my JROTC Program has LET 4's who dont even know 15 count manual arms and basic drill movements.
Frs bro
I can't believe I did drill in middle school. Such a thing to have been apart of
Their movements are so clean. My drill team can barely keep dress 😅😅😅
They did the 15th count manual arms

All those triggered JROTC cadets out there lmao. Good presentation though!
If I saw that I wouldn’t be triggered at all by the presentation
DAMN! Y’all march fast and swing your arms a little too much! You’re reminding me of the LET 1’s!!
No the LET 1s don't even swing their arms, it's always 9 to the front 6 to the rear
TYler_ SChecter they’re not marching fast. Should be 120 bpm and that’s what they’re doing

CMDR Gonzo von Richthofen absolutely. Rah
I’m impressed

FantaFett Thanks for the critique. How can we get a hold of you to get additional feedback?

May not be part of the drill card.
I appreciate your professional feedback, too many people just start calling them names I’d rather not say.
In the routine, it doesn't say present arms. The commander does that for his team.
I liked the 15 count

Correction this is IDR drill not acctual exhibition drill
Do u guys go to brigades at Francis Lewis every year?
son goku We go most years.
What kind of belt is he wearing looks kinda like a Sam Browne belt
Why are all public school JROTC cadets regulation gods? Us private school cadets SUCK.
what were all of the commands he did during the performance
Find HS Memories.
I was on colour guard for memorial HS and my battalion commander was good but she didn't lead much she just mostly did paperwork
Looks good to me
im in JCLC and im watching drill performances.
How odd of me
Oh so this is what I gotta do when I joined armed 4 practices before the comp
Arm swings are way more than 6 to front 9 to back
Because that’s not what regulation is. Regulation is 9 to the front, 6 to the rear for Army
I remember doing regulation but the one I am doing now is sook diffrent
Commander calls things way too fast, he sets the pace for the counts hence the counts being too fast. He’s rushing the platoon. Also arm swing is way too exaggerated.
Idk man seems pretty good exactly how I run my 12 man reg team
he kinda has to call it fast to not get any barrier violations
NJROTC anyone?
Yeaaa🥱
Female JROTC uniform.
It's kind of sad how instead of learning actually army shit they learn how to dance baso
...
Those aren't blues!
