Hello Christy!!! The Ortho doctor should take the x ray while the purple cast is still on so the don’t have to put Lilly through another round of casting. They did that with my son the 2 times he needed a cast 1 for a broken tibia and the second for his broken elbow.

One does not have to go to different places for any kind of treatment. My now 10 yr old daughter broke her leg in 6 places. 3 spots in each of the 2 bones. She was about 3 yrs old when that happened. She was being chased by her older sister and they ran into their room and she tripped over the rug and her big sister landed on top of her. I felt really bad cos it didn't "look" broken so I just carried her around from couch to the floor etc etc throughout day thinking ah its just sprained, she will be able to put pressure on it later.. well I got concerned around dinner time cos she still wasn't walking on it. Took her to the hospital and they did an xray and sure enough she had what is called green stick fractures. The doctor was suprised how easily her leg broke given tripping over the rug and sister falling on top of her (kinda rolled over the top of her so not really on top of her as such) and so the orthopaedic surgeon had to get some tests done to check her bone density etc. It was weird as! She's the only one of my 5 that have ever broken a bone. Edited to add, she was fine unless it was touched. She even had an arvo nap with it and was fine unless I laid my arm over her legs (was bunked in with me having a nap haha)
