As a Spurs fan no arguments from me! .I would love to own his interviews,a fantastic shrewd Manager who cared about the fans,&no BS! .And he had such an engaging personality,at home talking to anyone! ..The 'Scouser's won the Lottery having him as a manager!
I was here with my brother in the Kop end scary place to go 1970 s think train had 50 spurs fans on it we all split up I was bricking it . Fantastic support Liverpool . Massive crowd ..(( Spurs fans ))
Yes indeed!..This was a bit before my time,but any Teenager who went to an 'Home' game' let alone an 'Away one' had to remain constant vigilant, because it was just as easy to stroll around the crn&bump into a group of opposing fans(and if u were wearing the wrong colours) u could have easily have ended up in the nearest A&E!!

Remember being bus lot liverpool lads got on had stay quiet.. really scary... overall scousers were Friendly . In them days don't think they had london based and having Irish name guess would been ok ,? .. I was young lad day out from Sutton Surrey .. I figured .

Collins was a fine all round CB, was being lined up to replace Mike England. Liverpool wanted him but he chose to stay at Spurs (the club he supported), sadly injury cut his promising career short.
Ur right slower,but with a very hard Ball,rough&uneven Grass(a lot of mud) football Pitches,steely hard challenges(players had to be tough to survive)so naturally the game was more deliberate but not less skillful! . Unfortunately the fans these days are being sold a much nicer, well packaged,glossy product,which lacks substance..Any slight brush between players is deemed a foul,with the acquiescence of the officials and Commentators..
You wouldn't see these speculative long passes in today's football. All much more scientific now. Better as a spectacle? I don't know, but the arrival of many foreign players in today's game has, in my opinion, raised the skill levels.
Love these old Spurs games from the sixties & early seventies. The Spurs team I grew up with. It appears the Liverpool fans were still moaning to the ref back then 😂

Yes indeed awful. But Tottenham managed a few draws at Anfield in the late 60s/early 70s. After the Jennings double penalty save in 73 dont think Tottenham got anything until Crooks got the winner 12 years later
I was in the Anfield Road with Peter Kelly and a few more of the boys disapointed no Tottenham fans were in there the only teams that brought mobs to Liverpool at that time were Man Utd Newcastle and Leeds so besides these three our main agro was when we went away Godder

The game today is unwatchable. The foriegn imports were part of the design to bring that state of affairs about.

Wad this originally filmed in black and white and digitised in colour. The ball changes from white to orange constantly. Still a good watch though.
The football was not at all slow in them days .. if any thing was or apperars that players were very awake menatlly and alert.
Shankly said the fans liked their football like spaghetti Westerns - fast and furious
