Or, maybe it's a ghost game and so more military units causes concentrations of psychic energy that attracts enemies (or even spawns them in)

Typical Chinese map, they will always force you to push out ballista and bait all the runners to it. You are required to clear the first zone by day 6. Some of them do even extreme methods by going stone research early and use delayed mines. This map is done to celebrate National Day Holiday on year 2023 for China, it is actually considered a low difficulty map. Also, if you choose easy mode, you will have third option for second buff, which is first and second option together.
I will buy it even it just re skin TAB with other theme. This kind of game somewhat rare in the market even when many adore and still constantly playing it and have solid player and community base.
I ran into the same pathing bug you did here. Zombies and soldiers were both trying to just take the straight path from point A to point B by going through walls and not around them. Very bizarre.
For me i do always skip Chinese maps if they have no english version also. I do understand that they do it for fun, but still i do want to enjoy also😢😢
When you are almost (but not quite) about to reach an upgrade, consider selling your oil or iron to quickly make up the last bit of gold. Time is the only resource you can't get more of.
Tbh, you shuffling the tesla one space, so you can build the towers in a nice grid and than misplacing them anyway is peak comedy.
