I am so sorry to know if your friends death. His work is new to me. What a delight and talented artist he was. Thank you for sharing his work and your friendship with him.
I have just received news from Theo's relatives (March 30th 2016) that his house has since been broken into AGAIN!!! The property was under police custody! This is absolutely shocking and disgraceful..adding insult to injury .
This is so senseless. And as an artist myself- I can see the pure joy he has when creating his portraits. People are so very wicked....it breaks my heart.
Indeed. What a waste. We live in a world where there are many 'have-nots"Ths will contnue to happen until the problem of horrific inequality world -wide is dealt with. That is not going to happen .Trump is president elect. The rich will get richer and the poor poorer.Theo was not a millionaire...he was an hard working artist.Every centime was earnt..the hard way.No way should he have been a target for these gutless thieves.
You are rright..He is at last in peace. Those savages who tortured him to death Will one day be punished.I have always believed that whatver you do in life ,good or bad, will come back to you..like a boomarang.
Davy Lim Do not worry about it, because the Lord Jesus sees all. God will ultimately punish them in Hell. They cannot escape the judgement seat of Christ. So sorry for your loss.
Mike Hubbard if there was a god who cared I don't think he would wait until after the people kill/torture the guy and live out the rest of their lives.
This is why in the U.S. we have a "second amendment" and will assert it accordingly. We shoot and ask questions later, especially here in Alabama. What a loss!! A shame!
The Second Amendment was based partially on the right to keep and bear arms in English common law and was influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Sir William Blackstone described this right as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense and resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense of the state.[11] I was raised in England.in my days even the police did not carry weapons;even though I regret the terrible murder of a dearest friend, I am opposed to new gun laws.violence breeds violence, and the more weapons are available the more likely innoncents will die.

Ugh! How awful! What a tragic end to this very talented gentleman!
el pintor deja parte de su alma en cada obra suya
It's a pity this man was murdered in such a horrendous way. Justice will be serve, every criminal and thief pays for their evil one way or another.
Those responsible for Teo's brutal murder, have still (to the best of my knowledge) not been found .
An fantastic and magnificent artist.
very interesting style! I like it a lot, such a shame he's not here any more.
Rest in peace dear brother.

I just found this video, because I'm artist also, I used to work in Singapore for 10yrs from 1990 to Dec of 1999 in SPH. It was a sad story.
Indeed. A very sad story, especially for those of us who were his close friends. They never found out who was responsible for the brutal murder.
Seriously what a loss
